Question about breeding a new breeding in your local area

We are getting a few new breeds in our area, as it seems the rabbit population is increasing. No way to tell how long you would be competition free, but unless you are selling for pets only, you will eventually have someone breeding. But with elops, you have to be careful who you sell to. I...

    Marking Kits

^^Thats a great idea! I only mark fosters if I know one might be a keeper. Thankfully this last litter I had to add fosters to, none are keepers. Both does are being kept till next year so might as well eat them all.

Can a doe handle 12 kits?

I had a doe raise 15 to weaning age. Only 8 were hers. I did have to split them up and switch them out twice a day so everyone got fed once a day. They did grow slower, but are catching up fine.

    Ear Infections in Kits

We culled them. Possibly from injuries. Nothing indicating mites. Hopefully no others get it, but I will keep a close eye on them.

    Ear Infections in Kits

Three kits in a litter of 13 have ear infections. Just very poofy ears and a head tilt going on. Nobody else, including mama or rabbits in other cages have issues. They are 4 weeks. Is there anything I can do? They seem uncomfortable, and I'd like to try to help them before culling.
