This sounds like something similar to the Beef check off dollar here in the USA. Where they take $1 from every head sold in sale barn and use that $ to advertise and promote Beef. This could be very good for the rabbit industry if that is what they are going to do with it.

We raise Rex as a meat rabbit. I agree with you Standard Rex are hard to find. So far we have butchered all our fryers at about 12 weeks and they weigh anywhere from 4 - 5 lbs. Great rabbits like them for their meat, soft fur, and different colors.

Have an older CA doe due in 1 week. She had an undeveloped kit laying on the wire this morning. Just wondering what would cause her to do this. She hasn't had anything new or stressfull in her environment.

We have used ivermectin on a pregnant doe with fur mites. We gave it to her via injection, very small dose don’t recall the amount. Then we gave her a follow up dose in about 2 weeks. It didn’t harm her or the kits and the mites cleared up.
