When can I give babies grass N such?

Yes, the long grass is safe - again, just introduce slowly if they've never had it before. Like Myrkari said, make sure to identify anything before feeding. When in doubt, err on the side of caution :)

Pros / Cons of getting pet bun from a breeder vs. rescue

There are pros and cons no matter what you choose - best bet imo would be to visit some local rabbitries and rescues and ask your questions. Any breeder/rescuer worth their salt will help you whether you buy from them or not - if they won't or if they're rude...run!

    goat owners - help, please

I've never had that happen - ears, yes, teats, no - so I would separate her from the other kids. As long as it stops, I wouldn't expect any permanent damage or problems as she's young and should heal up just fine.

    Seriously, thank you!

It's true this place is awesome! Where else can you find this vast array of new and experienced rabbit raisers - raising for different purposes in a lot of cases - all getting along and helping each other? It's impressive and I'm definitely appreciative of the community feel and lack of drama...

Natural vs Antibiotic Pasteurella treatment (happy ending)

Thanks, Zass. I think I've decided to keep doe #1 and breed her and see how she goes, and like you, cull relentlessly if she or her potential future kits have problems. Doe #2 had white snot again this morning, so she's going to be culled as she's clearly unable to fight it off sufficiently (Ill...

When can I give babies grass N such?

I feed my does grass and weeds throughout their pregnancy and I don't stop when the kits come out and start nibbling, so for me I feed them grass and whatnot right off the bat. Never had a problem. Some of the greens that are really good to start with are dandelion leaves as they aid digestion...

I'm back and I could use some help...?

Not sure if they'll be in or out - probably a combo since we have housing for both. I won't be bringing too many with me and any extras can always go to freezer camp if I can't find homes for them. I actually really want to start working with pelts, so that wouldn't be too bad :)

I'm back and I could use some help...?

Thanks, Schipperkesue! I've considered that. I'll be bringing most of my supplies and housing with me, so the only cost increase *should* be food for the rabbits, but my own cost of living is going to go way up, so we'll see how it goes. We're going to be in Calgary. Should have a more narrow...
