I have a doe who is a great milker and produces large litters. However she is a real scrabbler. Throwing 1/3 of her feed onto the cage floor. I have adjusted cages, feeders etc. she still does it. Her kit production and milking are what have made me keep her so far.

Maybe I am alone on this, but I find it both relaxing and helpful to just feed, water and listen esp at night. They squeak, purr and grunt to each other---just wish I knew exactly what they were saying...

So, we have started to tractor some of the does to increase green feed due to questionable commercial quality. As a result, coats are shinier, the does are willing to breed and we will see what we get next month---I am optomistic!

I starting feeding canadian kelp last night. Free choice in little crocks; one cage of does ate the whole thing overnight. I have a litter with mom and they are mowing it down... Interesting eh?
