two first timers tonight--one to go...

I had a first time NZ tan give me four tonight; her stable mate popped 8, one Large doa and an aborted fetus. one looks weak, but the other five are fed and well. Lucky I was there as she didn't pull fur... I did. She made a nice nest about an hour prior then got to work.

I will be watching their mothering ability closely as well as subsequent litters; all of these kits will be meat. None reserved for future stock animals.

she is a tan bunny from a nz doe... I fostered her four over to the doe that had the larger litter. The foster mom is milking much harder and my third doe popped 7 this am. I have two due next week...
