    Thoughts on heat and sterility...

We let first time bucks breed with the does that are ready for freezer camp. We also do this after prolonged heat or if we haven't used him in awhile. It seems to help.

Someone suggested keeping a doe's kits away from her???

I'd let the doe raise them unless there are extreme circumstances. We tried this last winter with one doe when the temperatures were sub zero. All it did was confuse the doe. She'd start pulling fur & try to build a nest every time you put the nest box back in for feeding. She'd jump in and...

Hay Feeders as a Home Business

A friend of ours had an adult gets its leg caught in a hay rack mounted on the inside of the cage. It ended up breaking it's leg.

    Rabbit throwing feed out

She is only fed pellets. My daughter has seen her take a mouthful of pellets & spit it out. I don't know what that's about. She doesn't do it all the time, so apparently she still likes her feed. I'm beginning to think she's just psycho!

    Feed change.

I know a lot of breeders that use Pen Pals. They're very pleased with it.

New to Rabbits, & first litter fail.

We have a few does that always have larger poop than normal when they have a litter. I assume it's from eating more. It returns to normal after the litter is weaned.

    Rabbit throwing feed out

My daughter has a French Lop that constantly throws her feed out of her dish. Stacy uses clip on dishes. She's tried moving it to different heights and somehow she manages to dig it out. I give her a little food several times throughout the day, but that's very inconvenient, not to mention...

    Thorny plants

We were over-run with cottontail rabbits last winter. They mowed all of my rose bushes to the ground.

    Piggy back baby

Apparently, they've figured out that that's the warmest spot.

    Piggy back baby

This is the "Lone Survivor" in a litter of French lops. He spends most of his time riding piggy back on mom. She's great about letting him cuddle.

    Red Neck Rabbit wringer

How funny! Great idea. My husband's been wanting to make one of his own. Gotta love the red neck ways.

    Why not TSC cages?

Floor wire strength is definitely something to consider when purchasing 30x36 cages. We use them for french lops which typically weigh 12 to 14 lbs or more. This is a very large span to bear the weight load. Our floors are heavy gauge wire and work well. I've seen others that would need some...

    Buying help, which breed[s]

I agree with the other posts. Deal A doesn't appear to be a deal for anyone other than the seller.

    Rest in Peace Pepper

Aww, that's sad. I'm sorry that you lost her.
