A Farmer's Thanks

I am thankful that the bucks are eager and the does are fertile.

I am thankful for the growing babies in the goats' bellies and the milk they'll be producing soon.

I am thankful that the hens are done molting and have started laying again.

I am thankful that the chicks we bought this spring have now started laying.

I am thankful for the turkey eggs in the incubator.

I am thankful that we sold out of the turkeys we raised for Thanksgiving and the chickens and turkeys we are raising for Christmas.

I'm thankful for my steady job to support the farm.

Finally, I'm thankful for my loving, supportive boyfriend, amazing mother who drove all the way to Wyoming to rescue her prodigal daughter, and for the blessing of being on this farm as the 2nd generation on our land.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I've got a lot to be thankful for this year
