    HomeRig House Rabbit Cages

They have gotten so cheap with those things. First, they changed the floor wire to 16ga. Next they changed the side wire from 1" x 2" spacing to 1" x 4" spacing. Now, the last 3 that I purchased, the clips for holding the side panels and top panel together came in a bag. They didn't even bother...

If you live in the area, look out!

Today being our anniversary, and Fernie getting her instructional permit ~2 weeks ago, I surprised her with the following this morning: Her favorite part: the heated seats and automatic climate control. :rotfl:

Crew additions 2-7-2014 (ID Help maybe?)

So, we have a few new additions. I don't have a good picture of the new Beveren yet, but will try tomorrow. The other two are the mystery bunnies, which we have been trying to remove the matted fur, but it's going to be a week or more process. You've heard of grumpy cat. I present cranky...

A small glimpse into boredom and the workings of my brain...

So, I enjoy watching the show "Doomsday Preppers" as I think to myself, "Who in their right mind would announce to the world what they have, where they have it, and how they will or will not defend it". So, today, sitting here in my boredom, I got to thinking about a nuclear event occurring...

    Annie's first nest

Annie, our 6 month old harlequin doe, is obviously expecting her first litter. She's not due to get a nestbox until 1/5. And, yes, I'm sure of the breeding date. I found her using her eating hay to build a nest in the corner. So, just to appease her, I put a nestbox in lastnight. I figured she...

    Alice's 11-18-13 popples

Woke up to 7 popples in Alice's nestbox this morning, right on schedule. She's such a dependable bunny. On a side note, I think we need a subforum just for new popples posts and their pictures... :D

    My morning surprise...

My usual morning routine consists of putting the kids on the bus, then I get my coffee, and go out to check the rabbits in the trailer, then check the ones in the garage. This morning, I went and checked on the ones in the trailer, and after making sure they were set for the day (especially the...

Went out tonight and discovered this on one of the ~7 week old buns. Looks like a scab to me. Consensus? If not, what is/could this be?

    Building your own cages.

For those of you who build your own cages, what are your "actual" costs. I'm looking to build my own cages, instead of going bankrupt at TSC buying $30 cages. So far, what I have found, not including J clips, which only add a minimal amount to cage costs, I can purchase a 30 x 100 (1/2" x...

Why, oh why, do they have to be like potato chips? UP W PICS

Long story short, we were out today, getting our normal monthly purchases, and I called the one place where I get buns from occasionally (my FIRST mistake). The same place where I got Benny. So, after we finished our shopping, I stopped by there to see what rabbits they had (my SECOND mistake)...

Can anyone tell what kind of rabbit this is?

Crappy picture, yes. I didn't take it. Curious as to what kind of rabbit this is. The people who have it don't know, and I'd like to know before I go get him.

I'm having a puzzler of a breeding month here...

In addition to my lovely harley out of the one litter, we were checking out the other litter born the day before, and noticed that this little guy, who I have nicknamed UPS: has blue eyes... ? Is this unusual?
