Affordable Fodder Kits for Any Size Herd

Are you sure you know what is in your pelleted feed? Be sure of what you are feeding and offer great nutrition by growing wheat Fodder in your utility room. Fodder is affordable and gives you control of your feed ingredients. Purchase your grain locally and cut out the corporations entirely...

    Finished my milking stand. Finally!

LOL, I live in town, so I don't have a barn per say. The goats have their own little shed and I have a milking area under the deck. They are surrounded by a 6' cedar privacy fence for containment and, of course, privacy. :D

    Finished my milking stand. Finally!

Ummm... I don't understand this. Are you assuming I'm leaving everything just outside, or am I missing something?

    Finished my milking stand. Finally!

ahhh.... a barn... talk about heaven! :D We use our deck as a roof for all the livestock activities and the rocky earth as the floor.

    Finished my milking stand. Finally!

I have Kinders coming, so they aren't so big. It's not top heavy at all, but if you were concerned, it would be easy to fill the lower legs with sand or cement to stabilize. Nothing smooth or level enough where I am to have wheels, they'd roll down the hill!!! You'd definitely want...

    BH's V-Lop Thread (New Baby Pics 09/12)

Ummmm..... I think asking that question here is sort of like asking your fellow patient in the mental health facility..... :wbounce:

    Finished my milking stand. Finally!

I feed Fodder rather than grain, but I'm going to use one of those feed pans that have the chain clips. I think I saw a purple one at the feed store the other day. I'm putting the finishing touches on the plans and will also be selling a semi-assembled kit.

    Finished my milking stand. Finally!

Finally got my milking stand done. A few more projects and I'll be ready for the goats! I added non-slip grit to the paint. DH totally rolled his eyes when he saw the paint job.

    Bunny Bouquet

Wow! I'm in the wrong business.... chicory grows all over here. Maybe I should start selling the stuff! Oberon is my piggy boy. He pretty much eats anything you give him.

    Bunny Bouquet

He's eating wild chicory. Very nutritious and quite pretty. I've heard you can use the roots for a coffee substitute, but haven't every tried it. Thanks for the compliment. Oberon is about 12 weeks old now and is starting to silver nicely.

Working on phasing out pellets. I had to buy a bag to transition them, so I'm using it up. Right now they are getting wheat Fodder in the morning, chicory after the Fodder is gone. They get mulberry branches and leaves in the afternoon and then 1/2 cup or so of pellets in the evening. They...

Wanted to show off my RoundTop rabbit cages.

:tease: I'm 42... but mine are too small for gravity to have much effect!! :tease: That being said, They are VERY strong and I love the hay feeder. I feed Fodder and weeds and then keep cheap grass hay in there all the time for them to "graze" when they get bored. I don't care about waste...

    Lost a Chicken today....

I prefer it when there's an obvious reason... hate the mystery thing. However; I grew up on a ranch in Wyoming and the first thing you learn about having animals is that when you have livestock... you also have deadstock. Thanks for the kind remarks. :grouphug2:

    Lost a Chicken today....

I went out to do my morning chores and found one of my hens lying dead in the pen. She hadn't acted sick yesterday and I couldn't see any injuries so who knows.... It was Really hot yesterday, but the pen is in the shade most of the day and they always have fresh water. So now I only have 2...

    My own web site

I use Yahoo for all my websites. There are several different plans. The least expensive one comes with very easy to use, but not terribly customizable, templates. The one I use is $9.99 a month and comes with SiteBuilder, very customizable and similar to MS Publisher to use. It even has...

    Now I really feel old

LOL I sympathize with you all. I never had to explain all that to my daughter (now 20) since we never had television. Still don't. We were the "weird parents" :trapped:

Wanted to show off my RoundTop rabbit cages.

Hi Chewy, There are two 35"x24" cages and the nestboxes are 10"x17" so I think so. I keep my Silver Foxes in them and I believe they are about the same size. You could use 30" wire instead of 24", but I don't because I can't reach to the back then.
