Baby Can't Move Back Legs

Nope, just the three. She's older, probably 3 or 4 and I'm not sure if this was her first litter or just her first litter in a couple years. I'm hoping that between that and the heat that it accounts for the small litter. I'm home with the kids today, but I'll get my husband to euthanize the...

    Baby Can't Move Back Legs

Okay, I might be able to give him a week. He's still so little, so not moving around too much. And he's still nursing. So food and water shouldn't be too much of an issue. What signs would you look for to indicate such a young rabbit was in pain?

-- Tue Aug 18, 2015 9:27 am -- <br...

    Baby Can't Move Back Legs

I'm back with more baby questions! I have 3 Silver Fox kits that are 11 days old now. Everyone was doing great until I went out to check on them today. I found one of the babies out of the nestbox. I picked it up to put it back and noticed it can't move it's back legs. Is this most likely an...

    Only one baby?

Sorry I disappeared! She ended up with three babies, which all seem to be doing well. I can't remember if she had any litters with her previous owner for sure, but I'm leaning towards no. We got a trio from the same lady with the intentions of breeding right away, but we had some things come...

    Only one baby?

I just had a doe kindle and found just the one baby. She's already left the nest box, so can I assume she's done? If she does just have the one, will he be alright alone in the nest. The temps here are pretty warm, 86 right now. Is that warm enough, or should I bring him in and warm him up? Any...

    Concerned and embarassed...

What part of NC are you in? There is a guy up the road from me that sells good alfalfa for $10 a bale. It's more than I'd like to pay, but it was all I could find that wasn't compressed. I'm about 15-20 minutes outside of Greensboro. If that's close enough for you, then I'll PM you the guys number.

Can I use some photos? (update pg 6!)

I've been missing for a while, but I'm so glad to see you used Mr. Buns. He is quite the handsome fellow. All his silvering is in now, so he's missing those adorable black spots. But he still thinks he's a hunk:-)

    OK, chicken are dying?

My white Leghorn hens have very droopy combs. Like, covering one eye. But I don't have a rooster, so I don't know if it would be normal for them as well.

    Alfalfa pellets?

Mine won't eat the cubes or pellets. So then I had a 40 pound bag of alfalfa pellets to use up. I tried to feed them to the pigs and they wouldn't touch them either. I finally gave them to a lady with goats. They didn't seem crazy about them but at least they're not my problem anymore.

    Happy Birthday, Mizemama!!!

Thanks everyone! I've had an excellent day! I got a new piggie from my husband. We picked him up yesterday. I also got to order some sewing stuff that I have been wanting. My husband and kids have treated my like royalty all weekend. My 10 year old made me breakfast all by himself on...

MissM found some critters for you

My 10 year old has thoroughly enjoyed the moth pictures. He wanted me to tell you that he saw a bright green Luna moth the other day. Also, Miss M, he thought your avatar pic was a pair of shoes at first glance. Haha!

Can I use some photos? (update pg 6!)

Here's a picture of my Silver Fox, Mr. Buns. He'll make us some nice yummy babies when my does are old enough. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=568215113211326&set=pb.100000685274886.-2207520000.1375214302.&type=3&theater

__________ Tue Jul 30, 2013 4:03 pm __________
<br...

About to make the big leap

Mine won't eat the alfalfa pellets. Neither will my chickens or the pig. I tried soaking them even, but nothing will eat them. I have a whole 40 pound bag that anyone in the area is welcome to. Anyway, to get mine to make the switch to grains from pellets, I mixed a little molasses with...
