    PUPPIES...pic heavy

So I had thought about having some aussies, decided to forgo and not have any...then she decides to escape to my low content wolfdog...ugh All happy and healthy, just bothers me. Being extra cautious and happy at the same time is draining but wanted to share. No bunnies lately, lost 2 old...

    Just a check in...

Well it has been a bit of a rough year for me. Still trying to get back to a "normal" from multiple pes/dvt from last year and while some days feels like things are getting better and going great others are like I'm going back to not being able to do any thing. My asthma has been acting up...

    Chinchilla HL question

Purely for what correct color is, not showability etc. I finally found a black chinchilla nearby that was within price range, non showable due to being harlequinized after getting closer look. Took a chance as he looks like he's going to have better crown and limb shortness compared to my...

    Guinea pig baby color?

So "black" had this surprise baby. Looks dove gray, almost light lilac in person. She has had rew, himi, red, cream, red eyed orange, gold tipped black, and a chocolate. What is this one? I've never seen one remotely close. Red eyes, no tipping no apparent agouti markings either. I first...

Shaded based magpie or ? Kit color?

Black magpie x chestnut produced siamese sable and either sable point or blue point. Is possible for suspect sp or bp to be smoke pearl? Also wondering, as thought mag was chin based...does this mean he's actually a shaded based magpie? Pic is of questionable kit. These are HLs.

    Color of kits?

Color of the two pointed? I was thinking blue point or blur sallendar more likely as didn't think sable point or its dilute possible with a frosty and broken magpie being littermates. Pictures are from another breeder was looking at and curious to color. Dad is tri and mom is sable point.

    Teddy Photos

Finally got some pictures of the new teddies. The black is the female, red is the male. I LOVE his color. He is a harsher coat texture than the female, but I am just tickled to finally have teddies. She'll sit with me for hours if I let her. He's more interested in exploring every thing and...

    Guinea Pig scab

So I finally got my pair of teddies, a red boar and black sow. Boar is in great shape and friendly guy. Sow's in good shape too, but from owner before this one she was in a wet cage that caused (close as I can think to it in rabbit terms is urine scald). It has healed up for the most part...

    New project...

So decided to try something different. Got drinkers for hose system but really don't like how still 50 50 at keeping everyone drinking water so tried to make some half gallon waterers. So far, for 0.55 I think pretty good. Now to cure and see if work way I want. :bunnyhop:

    Moving with rabbits...

So I've been muddling for a while and still a few loose ends to tie up, but then moving 5 hours away from current location. Still in same state just norward to panhandle. Couple questions for those that have moved... Is it easier to pack rabbits like for a show in carriers vs leaving in cages...

    Chicken Smell

How to rid of? Looking for ideas, dad insists there is no way to get rid of it, but I think otherwise. I can't go near the coop without being unable to breath (allergic to feathers, the smell itself is not that bad). But in order to have some work done, the smell of them must go....

    Loves

Just wanted to share new babies. Excited, hatched October 8th. No names yet. The one is week younger and more curious. Had to have close encounter with phone camera. Other, not so much. Rather sit and sleep on ya.

    Looking back...picture heavy

So I've been looking at pictures that I saved from first round of rabbits (not the ones that started it all but after). Boy have things changed, some I just can't see how they did any good and others I really wish were still around (more miss them than any breeding value). Some favorite old...

Black Chestnut Agouti x Siamese Siable = Chin?

So I decide to go ahead and breed the pair of lions, hope that the doe thru a wider than the buck in the litter to keep and move her on since she isn't pedigreed. I was figuring on seals, siamese sables, and possibly rew. However I ended up with 1 chestnut, 1 chinchilla (looks to be black at...

    Ugh Coccidia in the Chickens...

So the tests came back positive for coccidia in the chickens along with round worms and ascarid. Going to worm and treat, but how do you deal with the coop and grounds? Coop is wooden. I know bleach and normal cleaners are not effective against it. Few times I've come across in rabbits...

Muffin Tin+Loose Minerals=Right Sized Mini Blocks

So I got tired of trying to keep the rabbits from dumping the pans of loose minerals and breaking off chunks of the blocks was tiresome and lost 60% of it. Plus from horse experience, there's not really enough minerals in the blocks...its vastly salt...works but made me wonder if they really...

Using Trophy Rock Four65 All Natural Mineral Supplement?

I was looking into other loose minerals, and Trophy Rock Four65 All Natural Mineral Supplement popped up. I was wondering if any one had used it in replacement for their usual? If not familiar, its a brand of deer minerals. If it would work, I was considering using it in my mix as I can get...
