Now that I've made two huge feeders, I thought trying out the water nipples was the next thing to do!
Waiting on a few packages to arrive today to set up the automatic watering system.
I'm hoping it doesn't drip as bad as the bottles do. Might switch the cages to the same system, if this works out well.

Got 4 in the freezer. Two from last week & 2 from the growout pen that just had to go.
Tried fleshing while fresh. One was easy. Rest impossible. Tried scraping, nope. IDK HTF others do it!
Grumpy stomped her kits while I was out there, so blocked the nest off & when I was done, moved the hole & kits further over. She's just getting worse. Was attacking the barrier.

Fleshed the 2nd batch of 11 in the pickle today. Super easy, all were young. Bit too easy, as I ripped a bunch...ugh. Took roughly 8 minutes or less per hide.
Added more salt n alum, 5 days to dry n break em.

Speckle bit my arm today. She's out of ped SF11, so, keeping replacement(s) and culling her once kits are 6-7wks old.
Hideous shape, so was leaving eventually, but now going no matter what.
All of her kits are doing well so far.

Why do you care about their pose shapes when you're not showing them?
Because I sell them and people don't want ugly shaped or out of standard rabbits.
Supposedly, the low long shoulders aren't a good thing for meat, but I haven't really seen the proof of that. I'm in a few posing groups & cull posing group and I'm not seeing it.
Either way, I'm not going to follow the extreme trends-
This is a deformed monstrosity to me. I see a long shoulder & cut off butt, too.
Well, came home to feed at night & spotted a weird cow poop.
It was this guy!
Thoroughly cow licked & frozen stiff.
On the couch with me tonight, in a rabbit pelt with hothands to warm up back to life.
Based on size and eyes closed, it's a Grumpy baby.

I totally agree! I think we should breed to the standards, not the latest fad.Because I sell them and people don't want ugly shaped or out of standard rabbits.

10gal bin is not enough! Gets used up in 3-4 days!
Two huge feeders are no longer enough either, so a 3rd was added.
11 hides washed & out to dry. Other 4 fleshed & in their 2nd soak.
3rd feeder.
Moved 3 black young does, 2 got nests, Blackie & Onyx. Blu also got a nest, but didn't move house.

Don't know where you are, but I have a Flem/Californian cross for sale. Female 1 year oldNice score, Secuono! You'll be up and running in no time.
One had pulled a bit of fur a few days before I added the nest. Overnight, she added a bit more fur!
All three palpated as pregnant. All 3 trying to nap in nest.
Only have 2 empty nests & it looks like I need 3. Ugh. Speckle kits too small to be nestless. 3wks Monday, but they're too wittle for the occasional freezing nights. May order more baskets to convert to nests....
Flipped & started stretching the 11 pelts.
