Secuono, how big of an operation do you run? It seems like you have a lot of rabbits. I currently have 39, but I'm looking to expand...

Do you keep the does and bucks separated? if not do you have problems with does getting bred before the butcher date?

Not really. The ones in the outside are mostly does, mostly keepers to pick from. Don't believe I've had any kit when I've kept them together to 4mo or so. I do separate aholes, though. That blue sf buck needs to move to his own hole, though. Rest of the bucks are young enough to leave a bit longer until I decide if dog food or keeper.

Ugh. Too big.
I'm still trying to get rid of a stacker and 2 individual cages so I don't get tempted. Lol
I think I have 22 adults? About to be 23. I need to join lines together and get rid of some, though. Might fully get rid of Rusty kits/line.

21 weeks, not 14, lost weight since breeder took pics... Tattoo is the same, but it either got hella ugly or forced pose. Fur isn't quite right, but some breeders don't understand standing vs might stand if you stroke it backwards slow enough.
Rabbit world is as seedy as the horse world. Never trust anyone. I'll eventually remember that, hopefully...
First of each pair is what I was finally able to get, but 2nd is more of what rabbit can actually do.

Filled some planter bags with store dirt and poo. Three 10gal, one 30 gal and half a 30 gal.
Someone might have to check my math, lol.

Store bag of 1.5 cubic feet, $8.00.
Full poo bag, $5.00.

About 2.5 poo bags & 2 store bags used.

About 2/3 a poo bag in one store bag.
So, 2.5 poo=4 and a wee bit store.

Poo, 5+5+2.5=12.50 vs store, 8×4=32. Bit left is about half a store, so $4. 32+4=36. 36-12.50= 23.50 saved in dirt?

I'm big a fan of grow bags. I've had great success with peppers in grow bags. I won't buy soil in bags anymore, I'm only only buying bulk from garden supply centers. The markup on bags is crazy. What are you going to grow in the bags?

Can't use my van for bulk, loose dirt.
Husband's idea, but I'm the one making it happen. Lol. Potatoes, I think he wanted to try carrots and cucumbers.

4 Previous culls left for dog food, 3 more about to be moved to cull cage.

More greens. Grass better keep growing to help with the feed bill!

New girl started on greens, too.
And all the adults, named-

Took out the new doe to work with her. She tries to bite if your fingers are around her neck and shoulders. Yes, she bit me! A light nip, but still!
More dancing and refusing to sit. She seems to panic when head is covered, so probably was shoved into a fake ball for pics and is now retaliating. Gave bits of grass between sitting still for me. Just gotta remember to keep fingers away, lol.
A completely different body vs what seller claimed. Common long, low shape. Shame you can't trust anyone any longer.
At least she's mostly genetically different than my others.

Night time greens for the outdoor buns.

No, that's if the dirt wasn't used at all? 36 would be the equal value, so, 36 was saved.

$460 in the red. 6 in dog food. 156 in dirt saved by using poo.

Currently $298 in the red.

Everybun got more greens after a quick trip to ship the frozen stuff. Google says purple deadnettle is in the mint family? Does that mean it dries milk production?? Switched to other greens for the does with kits, just in case...

🤦🏽‍♀️ What a rough week already...
Was supposed to be 24in wide. Brought 36" to the meetup. But kept with the agreed upon price.
But I lost all of my wire cutters. Of 🤬 course. So I had to buy a new pair. 🙃 Third or fourth now...
Gonna be a witch to cut that much off the whole 50 feet!
Then what am I supposed to do with 11 inch width of floor wire? Make tiny single hole transport cages? Wire them together for franken-floors? Frick, idk.
It's 14 gauge, GAW floor wire, the good stuff. Going to be replacing the 💩 floors in my stackers. And join together other stackers for the 2×4ft holes.

You can get electric metal shears for $50 on amazon that would make quick work of it. Use the extra for doe cages so babies don't squeeze through wire gaps? Good luck!

One time use, doesn't seem like a good purchase. I think we have a grinder of some sort, might work.
I use roof flashing as urine guards and baby saver.
I'll probably try the franken-floor, maybe line the nests and redo tops of the nests with it, too.
