Should NZ have a dew lap?

Due laps are perfectly fine in NZ does but bucks can be disqualified for having one. Good rule of thumb on weather or not it is considered a due lap is if you can "pinch an inch." There are 7 breeds that can not have a due lap: Polish, Netherland Dwarf, Tan, Himalayan, Silver, Britannia Petite...

Is this a show quality Netherland Dwarf?

It's a sable marten. Never even heard of a black fox color in Nethies. It's really hard to tell much about show quality from the pics as its not posed right in any of them but to me he looks really fine boned and has a very narrow head.

    Standard Chinchilla

I think i will get her some arm protectors. She does what she can to help me out but its hard for her. She has to use a cane and the doe that got her (Bad Rep, name is misleading she's usually a very sweet girl) has a tendency to get a bit cranky during the second show. Mom had her half way to...

    Standard Chinchilla

Thanks for the info Honorine :) I don't think there are very many where I'm at. Wish I could have seen what they looked like back as young Srs. Both are 2 years old and I know my Pals at that age start to go flat on me. I'm hoping they will cross well with one another since the buck has the...

    Standard Chinchilla

Yep no gold on these guys but plenty of silver! I just couldn't pass them up though considering the only time I've seen this breed before was at convention in Indy last year. The Buck Salami is really laid back to. When I took him out to take pics he promptly stretched out like he owned the...

    Standard Chinchilla

I found this pair of Standard Chinchillas at an auction yesterday afternoon. I've never worked with this breed before and was wondering what some other breeders thought of them? Both are fully pedigreed and come from Tex Thomas' lines. They are molting and could stand to gain a bit of weight...

Oh my, just found this post! The Pal is my girl P&K's Fault Line. Thank you all for your kind words about us! What made it so special is that Fault is one of our homegrown babies and that her sire was BIS the year before at Elm Springs show A. :) And congratulations on your wins SatinsRule :D

    Finding more keepers

I have to disagree with 6rivers about #5. This is just my personal opinion. I would cull number 5. Going by just the pictures she is extremely hollow in the shoulders compared to the others and is also really long threw the midsection. I do however like her width. I would also cull #6. He is...

    So excited!!!! 8D!!!

Most shows have a vender that has carriers and carts for sale at pretty reasonable prices. The last show I went to I bought a cart for $96 that costs over $150 at tractor supply.
