    Red urine

Thanks, Six Gun. I'm not sure what's happening. I suppose I'll treat her as if she is dehydrated, as her poops are small, watch her, and keep her comfy. I am kind of suspecting it's something more than just that, as she seems to be slowing down and not as active as usual.

    Red urine

Hey all, I have a jersey wooly female, about 8 years old who looks to be peeing red. Her poops are small as well. She seems a little sluggish, but is alert, and she did eat fresh organic spring mix last night. Might not be drinking much water. I noticed the red pee issue last night and did a...

    Can't Take Much More

So sorry. BIG hugs, cause it seems like you can use one.

    Jersey Wooly mix?

He sure does look like a JW, a lot like my REW doe Alice (my avatar). He's fantastic. :)

ADVICE NEEDED! this ever happen to you? (video included)

Wow, I had no idea that could happen. Thanks for reporting back, I'm always interested in learning new things to watch for. SO glad Bob is ok! :D

Colony Feedback Please! - Long Post with Pictures

Madrona, I think it's awesome what you guys are trying to do. My husband and I really don't love the idea of keeping animals in cages, and are slowly working toward a happy medium (safety + a certain amount of mobility and freedom). At the moment we have 8 caged animals. Our other animals are...

    ISO a little wool

I've been working on getting some from my jersey wooly, and I'd be happy to send that to you, Heritage! I'm not doing any spinning right now and so I think that would be a perfect use of the wool. PM me your address and I'll get it out to you. :)

    I'm intrigued...

Hi Heritage! I've done a little spinning of rabbit wool, so I'll see if I can be of any help to you. :) Nope, you don't have to clean rabbit wool. I have really only ever heard of people spinning angora or jersey wooly wool, and I've tried both. Angora is easier, and you can spin right off the...

A chinchilla pyometra question (not rabbits)

Ok yeah, this is my gut feeling as well how to go about it, but I had someone tell me that I need to give this attention. I do feel like I have been and am, but I wasn't sure whether my gut feeling on it was reasonable or not. I have a probiotic on order for my chins to give them just for good...

A chinchilla pyometra question (not rabbits)

Has anyone had any experience with pyometra in chinchillas? I am not sure if this is what I'm dealing with, just to preface. I have a chin that had some discharge last weekend that looked like blood, and I have since gotten her into the vet for a checkup, and mentioned the "blood". By the time...

    Survivor?

I understand. I only ever watch streaming TV unless my husband has cable on. The only reason I know who will be on is because of the Google app! I don't know most of the people who are going to be on, but you will know them if you watched the last two seasons. :)

    Survivor?

WOOT! I've watched up through season 28, but I guess I'll have to wait for a while for seasons 29 and 30, which is a bummer because some of the castaways that are participating in season 31 are from those seasons. Do you have a favorite player?

ADVICE NEEDED! this ever happen to you? (video included)

I wonder if she is having an allergic reaction? I agree with Preitler---giving a large piece of apple could definitely give a bunny a tummy ache. Their systems are so delicate, so hay and water would be a great way to help her get back on her feet. Perhaps Probios may help too, but I'm not...

Chicken's belly is hot and swollen

I haven't checked her crop, so I can't say definitely not, but the swollen part is down lower, more toward her legs, but not quite between if that makes sense.

Chicken's belly is hot and swollen

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I'm [sort of] ok with this--not that I want to lose my Lucy, but because I had suspected something wrong for a long time but just never could figure it out. She hasn't been laying for a long time, which is another tip off. I'm most concerned that this isn't a...
