I saw these for sale on CL. The buck is a Siamese Lionhead and the mother is a Flemish Giant. A Flemish Lion? A Liongiant?

Well, there is no reason that you can't get a LionHead buck and duplicate the experiment. Then we can all vote on who had the nicest litter- the CL poster or you.

See you just invited us to push when you posted that. And now today you post a pic from a listing. Well that is begging for it in my book.

And I personally think they look amazing. I mean giant bunnies with lion manes. That is about the coolest ever and I may just have to get a male lion head myself to breed to my flemish doe and try it out. I mean look at those manes. They look like real little lion manes. I am sold. I really think you should buy a couple and see if they produce babies with double manes :D Think of the awesomeness!!!!!!

__________ Wed Oct 17, 2012 8:00 pm __________

Giant Lions. So cool.

:cheerleader: Go, TM, Go! :cheerleader:

Better hurry up, Garden Lady, or TM is going to beat you to breeding the F'LionHeads!

Giant Lions. So cool.

Did you see the black one with the gray mane and beard or the brown one with the black head? The person did not know what they had. They were only $10 each.

Lionish? I had a flemish/lionhead as the foundation buck for most of my rabbits. All his kits grew big fairly fast and some have very nice, wide shoulders. I wish I still had him.

That is awesome. DId they have manes like that in First Generation litters? Or did you have to breed babies back to Sire?

I have a Chinchilla FG doe that is bred now. If I get a lionhead buck I could mess around and give it a shot. I have until March most likely before we move. I could get the first litter at any rate and just keep the best from that. :)

__________ Wed Oct 17, 2012 10:42 pm __________

Ok so I just inquired on a Lion Head on craigslist. I may just have to do it. :D

Ok so I just inquired on a Lion Head on craigslist. I may just have to do it. :D

I googled FG crossed with lionheads or something like that and saw some ugly ones. I think the color of the lionhead would be important and maybe not use any Sandy FG. By the picture I would say the FG was either gray or black to get those colors.

__________ Wed Oct 17, 2012 9:20 pm __________

Crazy looking rabbits they look like lions

I don't like lionheads much 'cause they're so small, but I like the look of the agouti-type lionheads. Up the size and it sounds like my kinda rabbit... lol!
These guys look really awesome! XD
