Zero had 5, 2 revived from cold. Horrible mom. Culling. Put survivors with tanya, closest to their size. Hope they make it, they wouldn't nurse on mom.

Culled two more for dog food.
Found 3 more to cull in the next few days.
These are Xoh's biggest, so I'll watch them.

Need to weigh the other weaned litters for more of the lightest kits to cull out.

The 2 survivors are fed & alive. Much smaller, though.

I missed a Tanya kit. They're nest is a tall cardboard box, so it's hard to see in. They're also super squiggly.

Definitely would appeal to people looking for pet rabbits
He is terrible at posing...He's a skirted rex, though.
And might be keeping the lilac doe. Her color was completely lost through the camera. =/

The bow on their head- 😂

Moved a few buns around. Jessi is in with everyone else now, to protect kits from dying of cold once they leave the nest.
The tort siblings swapped cages.
Moved 9 smallest culls, across 3 litters, out to the long cage.
And the cull I've been waiting on is finally growing in his fur the rest of the way.

Oh, one of the Zero kits died. Other I flopped mom over and let it feed. Tanya is a loon, sits on her own kits. Ugh, can't wait until these crappers are gone.

Trying to make them more sellable/attractive. Is it working? Anyone have the urge to buy? Lol
Love the bows!!!!

We've found that going to the trouble of taking cutesy photos definitely helps when selling to the pet market, and writing a good lengthy blurb that establishes us as trustworthy responsible breeders. Our photo setup involves wood, hay, small herbs in pots, maybe put the rabbits in a basket, nice background such as a hedge. The main rule to us is: absolutely no cages in sight, no matter whether photographing them to sell as pets or meat breeders. Cages never look tidy to outsiders, and pet people just won't understand anyway.

Jessi is still a gross nest sitter. But I discovered something new today!
First time I've ever seen kits potty train themselves! Like piglets! Two of them wandered over to that corner to pee! Missed it both times, though, so just a picture of their toilet corner. Top left.

Tossed two does out to the cull cage, then split the 3 doe growers I had together. So now all of the current keepers have their own cage, besides the broken black doe.
Hoping the tort buck will sire 2-3 litters, then cull him.
Also hoping Cinder sires some great kits, buck or doe, so I can cull him out, too.

Looks like I have 3 does due nests on Tuesday.
Freckles × Cinder
Unity × Rivian
Vicky × Baymax
Hoping to have keeper kit/s from each pair and cull out the does.

Posed pics of growouts and keepers.
2 bucks, 1 doe. All looked hideous the first posing, lol. Almost culled the first buck, then he sat pretty for the camera.
