Rusty nest is left to go next week.

She pulled some fur last night, so I added a nest. Not due for a nest until the 9th. Came out this morning to an aborted kit and one paw. =(

Kept building nest in corner, so moved it in. Ugh.
Idk if any survived the self abortion, but if they did, nest for them.

Well, they continued to bake, but weren't cooked for long enough, unfortunately.
Will give her a week and rebreed.



Gave nests to 3 does, then bred 2 others. Another refused & 2 bucks just couldn't get it done, but others got it done no problem.
Need to move Speedy & put a creep wall up, as she's too fat & eating kit food.

Also added a creep wall to Speedy's cage. She's mad, but that's what happens when you're as big as a hippo.


And moved kits from two does to the cull cage, 5 in all.

11 in the cull cage now. Hoping to get them gone by next week. Still have frozen ones to get through & had to cull a lamb, so that delayed it a couple of days.

Guess the tort buck is definitely a cull. Pretty fur color, though.
Rebred mom. Doe looks okay enough to keep & compare to next litter.

Freckles. She doesn't look like a cull these days. No gawd awful SF shoulder on her. But she is a lover of filth...

Lynx' kits, lilac rex sire & sf sire. The black one was already culled.


Hmm. The rex in the middle is the best one, isn't she?
But need a cross for the project to add size. Top otter looks best of the two.
Bottom blue has long shoulder and slanted butt, even though it has a higher back.

Tiny one culled for pup breakfast.
Old dog needs frying again or only takes organ meats.
Will keep giving pup these and fry the frozen for the old guy.

Kitty had 2, on the wire, no fur. Warm bc its 90 today. Moved to Meanie's nest. Kitty being culled tomorrow. Hopefully, her daughter does better.

Kitty had 6 more. Again, on the wire. 3 died. Others alive and warmed up.
But no fur pulled or nest built. She's using it to sit in instead.
Looks like the other 2 in Meanie's nest are alive. Idk if she can feed 3 more. Hoping Choco has her kits & can take some of these.

Update.
No milk on mom, put survivors in with Meanie and hoping they make it.

Well! Back to Zero's saga!
She had 4 more kits! One tiny, rotted one and 3 live, furred kits. Two on the ground were warm, one in cage mashed, cold, but warmed back up. All in poor Meanie's nest. Ugh.
Choco should be kitting any time now. Hope she has a few and can take these others and the rex ones....
