Not always , but in this case, I did terminally cull them. This eliminates the chance, even if I were to pet them out, any unwanted breeding. I personally don't like to sell anything I wouldn't want myself and there is just no way to guarantee that they won't breed them. So far I've had two people call me because of "accidental" litters. It's really been upsetting cause they just "had them out to play for just two seconds". I personally don't sell pairs (unless they are show breeders & show quality). They usually go out to buy a "friend" even if I've advised against it. This just ends the chance of that happening.

Welcome to the Rabbit World. You really never know what a buyer will do. If you don't want to hear about "accidental" breeding, have the rabbits spayed or neutered before selling or don't sell pets at all. Even as a single.

And regarding buying a "friend", you can't stop them from doing that either. So when they call, tell them you already advised regarding watching "accidental" litters and friends.

You have no idea what their intentions will be.

Stick to show quality and show people. Cull the rest that don't come up to snuff. Definitely will stop "accidental" litters. But then again show people do have "oppsies" once in a while too.
