Just got home. Went to check and she was delivering a babe!!! She has 7 so far. Not sure if she is done. Yay!!!

Well, she is right on time then! She started pulling fur one week before kindling. I wonder what they will look like? Did you see the other rabbits she was with in that barn?

I didn't see what the other rabbits looked like. We did not see them when we went to collect our rabbit. The neighbor said they were brown.

She had 9! Will she be able to care for them all??? Some of them are so small.
I will take better pictures when it warms up.

I will get some more pictures in the morning. They all seem to be doing good at last check. I did hold mom and let the 2 runts nurse on their own for a bit. We are so happy to have these surprise buns!

That's a big litter and does often have trouble with their first litters but so far it looks like she's doing it right.

Here they all are! Not the best pictures. They won't stay still!
So I think we have 6 otter maybe one of those is solid black, 2 chocolates??? And 1 harlequin. Some of them seem a little skinny. Im still helping the little ones 2x a day.

When I checked them today all had plump bellies. I think they are doing good.

They are looking nice! I wouldn't be surprised if those two that look chocolatey turned amber as they get their fur in.

Two of the darker ones have markings on their underside. I've never seen an otter like these.

They are soooooo cute! Lucky you! So glad your "buck" was able to kindle easily and is taking care of the kits so well!

I wonder if that strange otter is harlequinised? Looks similar to the one in this post: What is this color?
But I'm no genetics expert so don't ask me LOL
