I know it's not over till the Sept 26th on line registration deadline, but it's not looking good here for a trip to Convention.

On the GSD list, they have a Pity Party, for the folks who cannot attend Nationals.

So I was thinking of a RT Pity Party.

I was thinking of putting up pictures of the rabbits I would have taken if I could, by breed, age and gender, and having you all vote, best of variety, best of breed and best of show.

I don't know what kind of space or bandwidth that would take, Infodog does the same kind of virtual on line dog show.

This topic might be better in the Rabbits for show section.

Just a thought.

That sounds fun. We can have refreshments also
:icecream: :icecream: :icecream:

So we have mini rex!

Do we still get to play if we have a rabbit showing at convention, but we don't own it yet, and aren't going to get to go ourselves?

Well, I do work on the family farm. I had said in may I needed to have off 3 times. Once for the state 4h rabbit show, once for the ARBA show in my state, and half a week for convention.

My aunt looked at the calender this month and said "Jess cant you work the 21st, tori (my cousin) has a football game" and she actually got mad that I said no :x

Running breed? You could post a video clip.

It can run just like Convention, entries until the week before Convention. Judging starts and ends the same time as Convention.

We just have to figure out how to arrange it so we don't blow up the server and send MC into overtime :)

I think we should register, that way we can see how many threads this is going to take. We could make a list of all the breeds, then we could figure out who can arrange what breeds, put each breed on a thread. It might be easier just to do jr does, sr does, jr bucks, senior bucks, regardless of color, kind of like Angoras just have white and colored, for space sake. We can either get one person to judge or take a vote and tally it.

Woolers are going to be a bit hard to tell bodywise, but we will do the best we can with pictures.

Sounds like a plan! So how do we do this? Let's get this shindig goin'! :)

I have no rabbits worthy of showing, and I know almost nothing...sounds like I could be a judge :)

Who here has experience with different rabbit types? We need someone with knowledge of rabbit confirmation to judge. I think we should add a class of pets and a class for meat characteristics.

I'm in! :p

Having a consensus of judges might be best since there will be no "hands on" judging. :hmm:

*I moved the thread to Show Rabbits. :)

Do you think it should be one judge instead of votes?
Ther can be a pet class, and a meat or meat pen best litter/ class.

Thank you 'much :)

Hmm. seems like this will work. Each thread could start with a poll on top.

I say start a thread for each breed, after the entries "close" add a poll up top.

Maybe two pictures per animal, like a side and top view. Posed to the best of ones abilities.

Breaking News!

The RabbitTalk Virtual Convention (RT Unconvention?) will be set up using temporary Stickies in Show Rabbits.

The titles should be standardized. "RTVC Californian Jr. Does", for example.

If we have multiple judges each will be a poll. I've never been to Convention, but I assume it is one show, not a multiple?

Good idea. Who is going to be the Show Secretary and set up the threads? I can Sticky them as they are posted.

We may as well do this by the book. It will be educational for those that have never attended a show.
