The snow almost melted and now there's several feet and it's cold again. My husband may be working from home tomorrow.

We got hit by the sleep yesterday. All schools were closed but the wife still had to go to work. She said the streets, even ours, were just as clean as before it had started.

We got about 10 inches of dry snow....w/30 MPH winds....... :x :x :x

Drifts 4-6 foot deep EVERYWHERE!!! No school. Businesses closed.
A mess!!!

Had to have a snowplow come in and clean my drive, parking area,
and my road down to the barn. There were drifts 3 and 4 foot deep
over my road. I knew I couldn't get the van down there.

And I AIN'T wadin' through snow drifts that darned deep.

BTW: I've got studded snows on the van...they're super with a couple
hundred pounds over the axle. You can navigate most anywhere a
four-wheel drive can go. """If you've got the.......courage."""

grumpy.

Grumpy, you make me laugh. 4 wheel drive is the rule up here. Usually as an integral part to the giant trucks everyone drives. For the most part studded winter tires are really all you need, and you are right, with a little weight over the drive axel.

Another handy 'option' is standard shift. Really helps you become one with the road!

Well, brace for it, it's freezing down here again tonight. DH says it's getting greasy over by Dallas now.
