When does activist season open anyways? I'm starting to get antsy waiting...
better yet, what size gun is best to use-- and can we SSS them?

I would assume "The Bigger the better" however personally I prefer hand guns they have that element of surprise and they're the only gun I've ever used.

This is me practising in Minneapolis Minnesota during the ARBA convention last year. It was also the very first time I touched a a real gun (I plead Canadian).

Not bad, even if it is a 5-7
But, as a Kannuck, you can use a sawed off shotgun, So I would go with a mix of buck and slugs, with a collapsible stock, like a M-4, for a shorter Over All Length.
A handy fit under any trench coat, but you are more likely to damage the hide if you're going for trophy mounts...

But this is why I used to play paintball, the ranges' un official motto was 'lets go hunt some humans'

We are all frustrated and upset with the damage that AR activists do, but I draw the line at suggesting, even in fun, that hunting humans is okay. This digression stops here or I will lock the thread. :drillsgt:

does anyone know how the support for Debe is going?

there is an account set up at some national bank chain, and paypal account to help with legal costs. She is appreciating that help-- I expect she will be taking the powers that be to court-- seems she was told she had the right to rescind the signing over of the first seizure, but when she tried, she was denied--- again, lack of 'due process' They came and got her chickens-- wanted to grab the rabbits she had picked up for some 4H kids-- she drew the line there---

__________ Sun Aug 07, 2011 10:41 am __________

I have posted on the FB for Save the Six Bells rabbits, various contacts if anyone wants to participate in a phone, e-mail, letter writing campaign to support this woman's rabbitry. They nabbed a rooster- 8 years old, twomissing tonails--? How many of us have poultry with missing nails? it happens!!!

Thank you. The original info was a situation we should all be aware of but it's getting out of hand.

they charge more for purebred pets. ...uummmm so let me get this straight, does that mean a purebred is worth more the a sweet mutt? as a pet? I would call that "selling" not rescuing. so it is more profitable to steal from breeder then sell high then pick up strays and find them homes.

"DOG ADOPTIONS Top Dogs (Purebred and/or highly sought after): $250-$500 Puppies (6 months and under): $175-$400 Dogs 7 months to 7 years: $110 Dogs 8 years and up: $80

CAT ADOPTIONS Cool Cats (Purebred and/or highly sought after): $130-$150 Kittens (6 months and under): $115 Cats 7 months to 7 years: $70 Cats 8 years and up: $35"

they won't say who the vets are that came out. but the HRS has only 1 vet that they say knows rabbits.

Bobbi Hafer, DVM
"A farm girl from Nebraska at heart, she loves to work with both large and small animals."

this is the famous Alameda East Veterinary Hospital of the TV show Emergency Vets
http://www.vcahospitals.com/alameda-eas ... rians.html

wonder why they don't say that on the news??? maybe because Alameda did want to be connected with the raid? or do you think that is their "trump card" to pull out?

it's just horrid what they did. she's ruined regardless of the outcome. All we can hope for is that the group that orchestrated this is fined heavily and put out of business.

It came out on one of the posts to the FB page-- it was a HRS activist-- a person came in some time ago to 'buy' a rabbit. Through a couple other FB pages, it looks like this is almost viral. I personally informed the Extension Agent at the fair yesterday- PETA had already made it's presence known there-- cages were locked-- and cattle were padlocked to walls, smaller sheep and goat pens covered in hog panels and chained shut. This is not what county fairs are supposed to be about.

Good if they can prove it was one of them and that they are against all rabbit breeding that could help her.

Excellant, Excellant article !! Well written.. as a news story should be. Some of the comments following...tended to 'drift' just a bit....

What ever has happened to the "Innocent until proven guilty " premise ?????
I wondered that too! It seems animal breeders are second class citizens denied due process?

I called Purina and told them about how their name was linked to Foothill's
"thank you " letter. They didn't know that it was. I also told them that until
it was removed that I would be boycotting them and Nestlé. I told them that I
buy about 1500lbs of feed (that includes all of our stock) and that i was just
one homesteader. that I would hate to buy something else but I would to make a
point.
They got very very worried since their buyers are mostly livestock people and
rabbits are livestock.

now I see they are no longer have their "thank you " letter up

let us use our buyers power and tell the big feed companies who they should support.

One of the stated goals of just about any animal rights group you may wish to name is that of ending domestication of any and all animals within one generation. That goal is to be accomplished either thru euthanization or sterilization.

__________ Fri Aug 12, 2011 10:45 pm __________

It is yet another example of judges legislating from the bench. It matters not that they're violating the accused citizen's right to due process, and once it's done, it's done.

Just read on Rabbit Defense group that all the Bell rabbits have been spayed and neutered. Well... That certainly puts an end to her breeding program ! Other than damages... there isn't much of anything to recover.

*wanders off with brain hurting * :(

Herd the last part of an interview with Ms Bell via live stream on the computer this morning. Iwould think it is safe tosay-- she sounds quite dazed, even at this point. The facebeook sites Have published the contact Governor's site, sopeople can make it known at that level how his state is looking-- especially to us Non-Coloradoans! Atthis point--all the rabbits have been s/n and are up for adoptions-- the HRS has told one person that they will not discuss these rabbits until the case is settled-- I feel, that as far as the rabbits are concerned-- the case is settled-- in the court of AR Activists. The pnly thing left now is the civil rights violations, and the lack of process during the whole fiasco!

some of the things I disliked very much (clean those pans!). and yet some of the things I saw came happen very easily.
the fan, the fur/dust in the rabbitry, fleted rabbits. one of the very reason I stay away from angoras.

we all know that rabbits will not eat with out water. with out food they can't poop.so she clearly watered and fed those rabbits. there is proof of that (too much proof)

they say these are pictures released but do they say they are from 6 bells?

sad to see rabbits in those type of conditions. I do have to wonder if they are from six bells as well as nothing indicates that they are.

but even so... mobilizing as a group of breeders to ensure that breeders don't get bullied out of business. that due process is followed. that there is help available if there is need. THIS IS important and let's not forget that.
