Are chickens easier and cheaper than rabbits?

I’m in central florida. Do you live nearby? Abs are you interested in selling rabbits? I want to start back up in the fall. I’m curious about the quail also.

    Cuye (guinea pigs) for meat

I’m telling you, wouldn’t it though? I just can’t find the big kind that are raised in Peru and other places. So far I’ve found some that are bred bigger than the pet store version but they are far away from me. A days drive.

    Cuye (guinea pigs) for meat

I’ve never cooked or ate them but I would think I could prepare them the same as I do a rabbit. I’ve seen them roasted in videos a lot.

    Rabbit fat

I used to strip it off the rabbits and feed my chickens on the spot while I was butchering.

    Cuye (guinea pigs) for meat

I don’t know if I missed a post about someone saying they are awesome. I want to try raising them for meat. I’m talking about a larger breed then the pet store Guinea pigs.

Central Florida - meat rabbits - Introduction

I’m new here and live in central florida. I used to raise rabbits for meat for the family about 13 years ago and I’m wanting to get back to it. I’m also looking into raising Guinea pigs for the same purpose although I prefer the larger version of Cuye but I’m having a real hard time finding them...
