    Growth Rate v. Confirmation

is he better than dad? Even if he's narrow, is he less narrow than dad? If so, I'd keep him, that's how you improve. Use him, and look for a buck that is wider with good growth.

    Family Emergency/Vacation Care

I did a quick search for pet sitters in oklahoma, not sure where you are exactly but Rover.com popped with a fair amount of people available. Perhaps that might work for you? won't be cheap, but if you are pushed....if might be a needful solution. and a five day solution... not really, a...

    Rabbit miscarriages,

if you are having numerous does having miscarriages I'd be looking at what is being fed to them. otherwise I'd be questioning genetic compatibility between your buck and doe, feeding issues (rabbits too fat), and seasonal issues.

    Water bottles in winter

I use crocks. I thaw them out in the morning (hot water in a bucket) put in warmish water for them about 3/4 full. Then in the evening I top them up to full. (that rabbits usually have them 1/2 to completely empty then). I buy the cheap 1 cup size ceramic/stone wear bowls at thrift stores...

Can rabbits eat and thrive on brown dead grass through winter?

you'll need to feed some pellets, and give them some hay. Can you find horse-quality baled hay (small squares)? That would be cheaper than store bought hay most likely.

    Hello!

if it was your does first litter, sometimes they just don't connect all the dots. Give her another go and if she still fails to connect all the mothering dots consider replacing her.

    Shed Suggestions

my first six years my rabbits lived in those kind of shelters. They worked great. What I learned. (SW Ontario directly in the snowbelt) - Snow load can be a problem but a straight rake wrapped in a towel and pushed up from the inside helps the snow slide off wonderfully. - Ventilation is...

what to get for a trio? plus watering

Can you reach 30 inches into a cage for a rabbit who doesn't want you to catch it? I know I can't, so my cages are 24 inches deep. a cage that is 48 inches long has a lot of depth a rabbit can retreat to. Depends on how tall and how long your arms are. :) you want a trio which means you'll...

    Is this a DQ?

The thing about contacting the previous owner is ... letting her know the condition of the rabbits isn't HER fault, it's the fault of the new owner. And if she knows the person she sold them to didn't take proper care of them, then she knows not to sell to that person again. you can find a way...

New Project: Built Small Rabbit Colony Cage - Inspired by Kummer Homestead on YT

you can help them make better digging decisions by putting something stable in an area you want them to dig in. They like to dig next to structures. :)

They were right on it. :) but having dirt on top it will help. How will you keep the wire from rusting out over time?

just so you know... THIN CHICKEN WIRE does NOT stop rabbits from digging out AT ALL. (having had two determined girls dig out of a cage in less than an hour with an almost 6 foot tunnel. :)
