Personally... i Like line-breeding....... Providing the animal that appears multiple times is a Good ( if not Great) specimen of the breed. It really would not offer much in the way of improvement if the animal doubled up on was only mediocre in quality. Having said that... an animal strictly...

It is interesting to keep track of what shows up in a litter. I use Evans for rabbit records. Under genetics... when a pair has a litter and i enter the Youngsters and their colors... it will update the Parents Genetics... so if recessives show up... then it will show that the parents had...

Hutch stains are not a DQ... but it might make the judge place them lower than an animal without staining. :/ Breeds that only come in one color... do Not have varieties. So none need to be listed. Good Luck !!! Have fun !

True... even a Heinz 57 dog can have a "pedigree". Even us Humans have a Family History...that is essentially a pedigree... :) Rabbits can be mutts... mutts with a pedigree...pure... pure with a pedigree.... and they can be Registered... as 3mina said... Rabbits are about the only Livestock...
