    Fur mites yikes!!

Need some assistance. Ive got a 25-30 lb Flemish giant that has what I'd call a bad case of fur mites. Ears look fine. Heavy dander and fur coming out in clumps. Skin looks red once the area is clear of the white heavy dander. He lives next to two does with liters at 2 days old. Does look to be...

    Mink/weasels best trap method

Thanks for the reminder to get a spare battery. Im at 43 degree latitude, but geoeineering definitely contributes. Clear blue sky at sun break, planes fly by high, in a few hours, sky is completely hazed. I have the solar panel angled at 36 degrees for winter, but what you say makes sense, thanks.

    Mink/weasels best trap method

Im also reluctant to put them in their growout tractor being more susceptible. I have my hubby pee all around the area. Does this help?

    Mink/weasels best trap method

Saw a black mink scurrying around yesterday. Years ago had even someting bigger more like a Fisher and even weasels (gray) tormenting my chickens. I have my hutches all surrounded by electric fence. A few of my grow outs are in Wabbitat brand cages with wider slots and Im a bit wigged out that...

Cold Weather, how do I keep my rabbits safe?

I have 19 day old kits in -13 . They are still in nesting box and seem to be fine. I bought some material called Kapok all natural nesting material made by Kaytee. It was just under 3 bucks and it really is a nice warm insulator. Mama had kits in back if box but pulled them up to the front. When...

    Hello fellow rabbitry family

Thank you. Buknee, I let him run around when i do weekly cleaning. I should let him out more. I did not know they get depressed. I should weigh him, he feels around 20 lbs. How much does your doe eat?

    Hello fellow rabbitry family

He is about 2 and a half, so i was told. He is a sweetie. All of them had free for all food and im trying now to slowly reign them in to a healthier weight range. I have a hutch that houses 3. One stand alone cage, and 3 grow out cages. It was a great deal. Thxs.

    Managing overfed rabbits

Hi. New to rabbits. I posted my pics in the intro. When we acquired these rabbits the previous owner would just fill up their feeder and give them as much as they would eat. I initially gave them a half cup pellet and a fistful of timothy hay morning and night, but they all had a fit. I have...

    Hello fellow rabbitry family

These are our new addition. Found an entire rabbitry for sale on Craigs List. It included everything to get going! Each doe has had 6 successful liters. They are all around 2 years old. The kits are 7 weeks now.
