    NDs?

NDs are great pets. It all depends on how they are raised. My buck is extremely friendly, easy to handle. I bought him at 5 weeks old. My doe is cage agressive due to how she was raised. I bought her at 1yr. She is easy to handle but does not like hands near her in her cage. I kept one doe from...

    New Babies!

me too :) if it is a doe then she definitely wants it but if it's a buck..not sure, since she is buying the sire from my sister.

    New Babies!

nope it is a tri-colored kit. That is what I was aiming for with this breeding since I have a lady interested in one to get some new blood in her herd. The buck came from a litter that had some harlequin dutches in it.

    New Babies!

I am very excited to share my new babies :D these are the first Dutch Rabbits I have bred and I am very excited to see how they mature. Their parents are the friendliest rabbits I own.

    Critique my Netheralnd Dwarf's type

reading the breed standard for the ND (even if it is just the US one) is a good start for figuring out if he is breeding quality. if you do not understand something you can always message the association or a local breeder.

    meat bucks to smaller does

some does will not survive being bred to a large buck though. The larger the buck, the larger the kits (usually). The same goes for other types of animals. if your doe is close in size or at least non-dwarf then there is a good chance she will produce ok

    Any 'Horse People'?

Geri: thank you! I have to admit that I am obsessed with them both...even though my mare has a ton of health issues from where I rescued her. I actually might be getting another mare out here (to keep :D) so am keeping my fingers crossed.

Show off your Whiteboard or Record Book!

Anyone have any good blank pedigrees that can be printed off? Ones that can be used down the road if I wanted to register my rabbits? (so they would need more then just the breed and name of the rabbit) You are all being very helpful and I love the calendar idea to keep track of more then one month

Show off your Whiteboard or Record Book!

what does everyone record in their books? I have never used this method. Before, we have always just used a calendar but I would rather have everything written down so that nothing gets lost (I have naughty nieces and nephews that like to take off info on calendars). I plan on using a book and...

    Netherland Dwarfs

Well I have found some really helpful topics on how a ND should look, so when I have the time I am going to sit down and thoroughly critique my buck. I might have found him a doe (she is not going to be cheap lol) but she sadly is still young so I will have to look at the parents to see what she...

    Bantams!

bantams lol gotta love em, they can be very amusing we have many different types here By the looks of it you got a small variety of bantams..maybe Old English Game, Cochin, Frizzle. The gold laced one is hard to tell what it could be from the photos. But the OEG looks like a rooster

    Any 'Horse People'?

Has the topic come to a dead end? I finally was able to get on high-speed to share a couple new photos of my horses. These photos were taken yesterday by myself. Shown here with my niece who was able to come down from NB for part of the summer. Tahea: (getting her good girl rub) Ariel...

    Any 'Horse People'?

Nice to see so many horses and ponies :D Sadly my images are too big (since they come directly off my camera) so I will have to resize them. We have had a few other horses/ponies on our farm before. The three I mentioned are my more recent ones. We have had: Babycakes-Welsh x Shetland...

    Any 'Horse People'?

Since I do not like dragging up old topics just to talk about someone's horses and just joined not that long ago, I thought I would make a post where everyone introduces (or re-introduces) their Equine friends. Then we can all drool and comment on each horse/pony. (and maybe snatch some in our...

    Netherland Dwarfs

seems to only happen to me, not my photographer family members...and usually when I need good photos the most...*sigh* oh well...guess I need more practice :P would love any comments about him so that I can choose the right doe. He is a gorgeous boy. Too bad he likes to move so much when I have...

    Netherland Dwarfs

That is my plan :D here he is. Turns out he is not very photogenic at all....I swear his ears look smaller when I look at him but in the photos, not so much...hmm
