Widy × Jasper & G.
Final Jasper kits, as he's gone now.
G's kits are the two Rex ones. Rest are Jasper's.
Didn't post them, just told to hold still for a quick pic. Two weeks before they're 8wks.
July 29th

Rex, G's kits-
blue buck 1.87
blue buck 2.24. I hope he ends up biggest and great shape, as I need another Rex buck to breed. Also hope he has far more interest than his dad....

Regular, Jasper's kits-
black doe 1.77
blue buck 2.16
broken black doe 1.87
harlequinized broken chestnut buck 2.40
harlequinized chestnut doe 1.87

Should I get her??
9.41#, 6mo old. Seems to have wide hind legs, depth. I kinda gave up worrying on high/low shoulders, so not paying attention to that.
I'm thinking yes. 🤔 What about you guys?

I would want to see a back or top view to be sure. Something about the hip is bugging me. Shouldn't she be fuller above that hind leg to make a rounded dome to the ground rather than that line? Or is it just her bad pose (looks like her back end is too far back) making her look like that?

Haha. I can tell she doesn't like posing.
But she's wider all over and fuller than all of mine.
65 no pedigree, steep for me. But if she can add speed and bulk, may be worth it.

Have two more scheduled to sell this weekend. Then gotta take grass pics of the 6 proven does and relist them.

Looks MUCH better from above.

6 months old, so she's ready to start working. I would say she would be a good investment but obviously I don't know what your budget is. Though, looks like you just got that same amount for a few kits, so you would "gain" 2 cages and come out the same in cash if you got her.

They were culls, so only got cull cage space open.
Breeder is willing to send pedigree with her! 🤩 Offered unprovoked.
Got 2 more to sell, would be $50, and used for her. But they're also culls.
Need the 6 adult does to sell/be culled. But that only makes room for their offspring. 🫠
I'll look over everybun and decide on two that can go no matter what, then new doe can come in! Since she's such a big improvement over all of mine, I'll find 2 extras, besides the 6 listed, to move out.

Two bucks got their own cages, tags updated, new tags hung.

Gotta decide if I want to keep the smaller Tealy or the larger Cobalt...I'm thinking Tealy has to go. But Cobalt's dad is unknown...ugh. Maybe both should go, since I have other Ella does to watch/kept back.

Cobalt.

So, have 7 adults, 2 juniors and the 3 culls. If the 7 adults don't sell, who am I keeping? The pedigreed Rex. I think the rest I'm willing to cull for dog food.
I still need to further go over the others and decide if anyone else can go. I have way too many! 😭

Cobalt has much better shape. So, staying.

Moved 3 to cull cage, so other 3 now have their own cage.

Ugh, looks like I've forgotten rabbits. Now to pose them, weigh & check records and decide who is going and who is staying...But when all this rain goes away. Probably need to get rid of all the extra Rex lines, too small to bother with. Then decide on the sf mixes, some gotta go. Probably look at the pures and cull any small ones...

All of them. Ugh. 37

Sale ones removed. Still too many. 29
20240918_104103.jpg
Most left to grow too long. 🫠 oops

Gotta narrow these down

To keep n breed to G or to just cull?
20240918_105214.jpg

29- up to 4=25. Then might be able to get to 22.

Quincy kits.
Blue is aggressive, bad loin, being culled.
Broken lilac is smallest, but smoother loin-knee.
Biggest booted is a doe, might not be as good as broken, but weight is important, so, yeah, she wins this litter.
The buck seems nice, may keep him cince his dad is such a huge bother to get to breeding!

😭 just realized that the doe us a buck! And small. Wtf!
The other, younger sf buck is nasty, but better looking. Will he grow larger? Is it worth it?
Both are RM14 kits, different sires.
Ugh...

Two does.

Tort buck got his own cage. Both have great body silvering and standing fur.

The older, at 16wk 4d, 6.93#
The younger, at 15wk, 7.37#.
So, older is being listed/culled.

Puff has amazing fur, so does Ebony's daughter. So, keeping Puff.
Haze too small, so selling/culling.

The 3 Sugar kits. Culling the 2 younger kits!
10wk mark.
1st born 6.18#
2nd born, 5.54#
3rd born, 4.41.

Ugh. But the buck has shorter body that I've been fighting to get in the breed. So, he's staying...

Or do I still cull off both and keep the heaviest? Gotta buy new feed this week...thinking I might have to move both...

That overpriced doe. Didn't bite or fight for posing this time, looks better.
