    Another Cat Emergency :-(

Hey all, again, I can't thank you all enough for all of the help and advice. I come again to ask for more, I wish I didn't need to... I wish I had more knowledge to help you all more... My cat is having serious health issues again. Before it was a urinary tract thing that cleared up with...

    6lbs in under 70 days!

Hey again all, Sorry I haven't been on here frequently enough lately. I wish I had some great secret, but I think I have been very fortunate with the lines I have had available. I feed regular commercial "traditional" pellets with no antibiotics or drugs, etc... we also forage for them quite...

    6lbs in under 70 days!

Hey all, I can't thank you all enough for all the help I have gotten here, including cat care! I have been breeding my rabbits for a couple years now and have gotten to a point where I see the line I want emerging. The type of chinchilla/sable they are is cool and the growth rate is awesome, as...

Vent Disease, should I burn my hutches?

Hi gang, thanks again for all of the great knowledge shared here. We've had 3 good litters so far this year and about to have the 4th tonight or tomorrow. So much of my small success is due to this site! However, I bought a rabbit that had vent disease and it and my best doe nipped at each...

Very special cat, blood in urine :-(

You guys are so great :) thank you for being here so consistently and sharing so much knowledge. Squints is in good spirits and playing a lot. I've been watering down her wet food with yarrow tea and she eats it up, takes a nap and then pees a good amount of not too bloody urine. I'm going to...

Very special cat, blood in urine :-(

Thank you so much for the responses :) She uses the toilet for urinating, so I just put a large plastic bowl in the toilet to collect her urine. She is unbelievable cooperative. Her urine is fairly clearish yellow and the blood is pretty bright, not dark and not black at all. I didn't think the...

Very special cat, blood in urine :-(

I can scare up money, but the nearest vet said it would be close to $200 to see her and do what they said they would. Blood work and such... and they would have to give her rabies shots to even see her... My main concerns with going to a vet are about the vaccinations while she is sick. I feel...

Very special cat, blood in urine :-(

Hi all, I haven't been on in a while as my rabbit breeding has kind of tapered off and with everything I have already learned here, I have not had much need to bother yall or things to contribute. However I find myself very distressed about my cat and thought you all may be able to help...

Not so urgent now - hurt bunny.

Yeah, the bob cat seems quite good in the dispatch department. Got into a grow out cage and killed 7 with no problem. Looked like a quick bite to the neck of each... Then ate his fill and left. I happen to be fresh out of live chickens... can you guess why?

Not so urgent now - hurt bunny.

Thank you MSD :) I'll take care of that in a bit. It's been a rough couple of weeks with my rabbits... been trying to trap this bob cat with no luck. Probably need to just put him out of MY misery... This little guy will be the next bait, I guess.

Not so urgent now - hurt bunny.

I killed him :( I guess I should do a necropsy on him. He was looking so bad and basically killed over... It's not that hot today, not as hot as last week... all of the other rabbits seem fine with the temp currently too... When I killed him and he kicked a bit, his belly made a sloshing...

Not so urgent now - hurt bunny.

I agree and I almost did that immediately. I have lost a lot of rabbits lately though and it's tough to just give up on the little guy. All of my other losses have been bob cat related, but it has me down to just these 4 kits... and he is one of the 4. If I can save him, if it's not a broke...

Not so urgent now - hurt bunny.

I came home to find one of 4 kits in a corner of the hutch and in a bad way. I thought he was stuck as he had his nose pressed out of the cage and was panting and looking quite distressed... No obvious wounds, wasn't stuck... but his mouth makes a grinding noise when he chews. He is about a...

    Quick help! Rabbit injured...

Annoyed is good :) Glad she is back at it! Yarrow is a great thing to have around for wounds. Stops bleeding and helps prevent infection.
