I LOVE photography so that probably helps. Just grab items around the house that you like and can make a prop. Take 3 times more pictures than you need and a few will turn out great.
That's what I do.

Oh so cute, Zass!!!!

Thanks !!! I thought it came out especially well too. :D
I'm no where near skilled enough to take only 3 times as many pics as I need.
Usually I take something like 30, to get one decent one.

Before digital cameras became the standard...I wasted SO much money on film. :p

Zass, LOVE the photo you posted!! So cute!

A small but very special delivery:

Maggie%2BHawthorne%2Bliter%2BMay%2B1%2B2015%2Bjust%2Bborn.jpg

These came from Miss Magnolia (Bauer's Fullhouse) -one of our Mini Lop does.
They arrived in the night. I woke up and thought I'd go check on her.
We'd been concerned as she had gone late again. Her last litter was born on day 32 and were all quite large and difficult for her to kindle. They all died. This litter was also late.
We really wanted a litter out of her as she is an older doe and we knew when we got her we may only be able to get 1 or 2 litters from her. These arrived within a couple minutes after I came into the rabbitry in the night!! She kindled them quickly without difficulty!
We are thankful!

If the Bauer's from "Bauer's Old Barn" still visit here on rabbit talk - thank you for this sweet doe!

And then the cost of getting pictures developed... and the WAITING to even see if you ended up with any decent pictures.. ugh!!!

I've got two litters right now , one the first out of my new black buck born in November paired with my lilac doe , two lilacs , three blues & a black. They are ~10 days old now or so , fat & healthy.

The other litter is kinda interesting .... It's from a first time chocolate doe paired with my chocolate buck. I figured I'd get a large percentage of chocolates from this pairing , of the 9 kits only 3 are chocolate the other 6 are lilac ..... I figured to get a couple lilacs as both sire & dam have lilac in their tree , just didn't expect the vast majority to be lilac.

I wanted several litters of chocolates to make a blanket out of.

Never assume anything when it comes to rabbits , they'll surprise you every time.

(Yeah , I know , worthless without pics , I'll get around to it)

Why not make it a patchwork? Lilac and chocolate, could be quite pretty.. :D

.... Tell that to my 10yo son , the first one will be his. I get the ..... 4th one.

I have thought about just doing one of each color but it'll take twice as long or doing one that is striped in alternating colors.

My husband wants a chestnut pelt pillow case  He likes the "wild" looking rabbits. I decided I don't want to do pelts and now I only have netherlands.

My pictures were once flagged by the developer for being possibly pornographic..... ummmmm OK. They were Anne Geddes style baby pics, nothing really outrageous either.... naked baby buttocks but nothing else. They said they couldn't develop them and had reported them to the police. Never heard another word.

Good grief!!!

My grandma ran the town newspaper so she built her own dark room for developing everyone's film. I don't remember much except being told over and over again not to open the door.

Our two newest Mini Lop litters.

Litter of 6 is 5 days old. The litter of 3 is 3 days old.

We've always had a black Japanese Harlequin in each of the litters out of Violet & Thomas but not this time. Am I correct that the far right would be a blue/fawn Japanese Harlequin? This is a new kit color for us. :) I'm liking how colorful the Tri Color in this litter are too.

You'd never guess these three are younger than the litter of 6!

Mystery.... The doe is supposed to be AatBbchdchdDdEe and the buck is black sable chin with rew, other recessives unknown. But these are not chd kits and 1 is self marked...

2 silvers with pink belly. 1 more visible than the other.

and then we get to this self looking one that is a little darker with very blue looking ears

:? I'm thinking the doe's sire had some unpredictable genes. I fully did not expect him to throw what colors he did in this doe's litter. Chocolate chin, blue ermine, lilac ermine and now his daughter produces these. He was not a simple silver marten like his pedigree made it seem. The breeder did not work with self at all though so I thought I could at least count on that. Then if these are sable/shaded...?

We are officially back in the Flemish Giant business. The white Doe I picked up a month and a half ago had her first (for us) litter. REW buck and REW mom=6 white babies and one DOA that was huge! Here they are in the nest last night.

This is one of my three litters. The one I don't have color questions about. Some of the "white" kits are starting to show points. The dam is a broken martinized hemi. Sire is my lilac standard rex buck.

Look at the fat little chestnut!
