    Ate a Hershey's Kiss

So tonight Lego (1 1/2 year old Holland Lop) got a hold of a Hershey's kiss. He ate all the foil off of it and part of the chocolate. Do you think this will hurt him? Kristy

    Help me figure out litter?

I put straw on top of the horse bedding. Each night I add more straw to cover up the poop and it lasts for days like that with just adding a small layer of straw.

    Help me figure out litter?

Our rabbit is a 100% indoor pet. He has been since the day we brought him home, but he's purely a pet, not for breeding, showing, etc... Here is a picture of his pen area. When we are in the room, we let him out in the entire living room so he can really run around but he always returns to...

    Help me figure out litter?

We tried a few different litters and what we found that really works the best is pelleted horse bedding. We get it from Tractor Supply in a huge bag for $5-6. It works great, absorbs urine and smell and has no odor. And it lasts a long time. We have two litter boxes, one in the cage and one...

    Lego - Our Holland Lop

No floor covering like that. It's a wire bottom cage and I have plastic mats so he isn't on wire but no "bedding" in his cage. So nope, the only place he has anything like that is in the litter boxes. Kristy

    Lego - Our Holland Lop

Okay I am setting everything back the way it was as far as in his cage and he's doing well with the one out. I will just encourage him to use it somehow, lol. Kristy

    Lego - Our Holland Lop

So what would you suggest? If we have the cage open and he can wander out, he will NOT go back into to go potty, he will just pee on the carpet and floor. So should we keep both litter boxes but just leave them where they are? He is not fixed and we plan to have him fixed. I could try one...

    Lego - Our Holland Lop

I haven't posted in this forum before, mostly in the rabbit care one. I was trying to find others who have rabbits just for pets, not breeding. We have an almost 8 month old Holland Lop boy named Lego. He lives inside in our living room. I have four kids ages 6, 8, 12 and 15 so Lego, the...

Rabbit Food Questions - I still feel lost here

Thanks for the information. I searched and searched for someone to keep him in my home and found nothing but one lady who would basically just come by to feed him everyday and that it is and he would never get out of his cage. This store he is staying at is very small and never busy so it...

Rabbit Food Questions - I still feel lost here

Okay so we got Lego at 10 weeks old and he is now 6 months old. He is doing great. A feisty little rabbit. Here are my questions about food: 1. If Walmart and Tractor Supply are the only options for rabbit pellets, which brand is the best? 2. On an average, how long can one bag of rabbit...

Still don't know what to do about travel.....

I know I asked this before, but we still have no answers. I have asked all over for someone to rabbit sit or even house sit and can't find anyone. We are leaving for 2 weeks and either have to take the rabbit with us (22 hour drive) or leave him here. I found one person who will come over for...

    Traveling with a rabbit

The animal crate we have is too small for a litter pan. It's a very small animal crate.

    Traveling with a rabbit

Okay, we have a small dog crate. That's what I brought him home in. My concern was him pottying in it. This will be a long trip in the car from VA to TX and back. I just don't know what to do. We hate to leave him. He's our only pet, still scared of my kids but finally feeling like he...

    Traveling with a rabbit

My concern is space. We have a minivan but we have 4 kids and lots of stuff. We live very far from DC, Fredericksburg. We are in the mountains in the middle of nowhere. :(

    Traveling with a rabbit

I have mentioned before we will be traveling at Christmas and plan to take our rabbit with us. It's really our only option. We have no one here who can keep him and don't want to just have someone come and feed him for 2 weeks (that's a long time stuck in a cage for a rabbit that has freedom...
