Youth Only Show- Leg Question

The Kern County Fair is coming up, and there is a Youth Only Rabbit Show. We are too late to enter this year, but for future reference I would like to know if my kids can exhibit a rabbit that I have exhibited under my name in the past and earn a Leg on that rabbit. Or must the animal always be shown under the same name?

My Rabbitry is registered with ARBA, and we are all listed as "owners", and are members as well.

Legs can be won by anyone. The tricky part comes when the rabbit is Registered. Legs won Before registering ...no problem. Legs won After registering MUST be in the name on the registration ...OR .... then a series of transfers has to be done to be able to get a grand champion cert.

We ran into that this spring... took a couple months to untangle things so that the doe could have her title ! Now my rule of thumb is " Legs First...Then register". It was a Very frustrating time !!!

And..... You know what is really sad ...?

We will go thru that again...if one of our bucks finishes ( needs One more leg... ) I already had him registered... and he is shown in DH's name....

I think we should be able to register a rabbit under a rabbitry name rather than just an owner. That way you add family with your arba registration and all of you can show the rabbit
