No, the domestic rabbit is developed from the European Rabbit, which is a different genus from any of the American rabbits...
However they can do massive damage to a homes foundation, are dangerous, as they create warrens (that will cave in) in your yard, harbor parasites and diseases that will infect your rabbitry.
I have a breeder friend who has a problem with feral rabbits because an idiot neighbor though it would be 'cute' to buy a bunch and let them loose 'to run' in his yard...
they get shot on sight, she does NOT play with the bio security of her herd.
