My daughter and I want to produce some tris in our meat mutts.
Our first attempt resulted in two excellent broken reds.
So the pairing is good, aside from colour.

Harry is our broken red buck.
Clover is harle and definitely eje (and dam of the broken red kits).
I also have her harle daughter, who is likely 'eje' as well, as her site was not a harle (or a harlequinized color).

Since both girls are agouti based eje -- it doesn't matter which we use, does it? Harry will bring ee and the ENen. The rest of the genome is relatively unimportant for this?

Yep, either doe could produce tris for you.
You might consider breeding both ladies to him to increase your chances of seeing tri colored kits in 31 days. :)

There are other potentially hidden genes that could crop up in a litter, like self or rew, but for the most part you should see reds, broken reds, himis and tris.
