What to look for during Quarantine

I know "how" to quarantine. Seperate acomidations as far from the others as possible. Feed and handle last. Wash hands and equipment before returning to main herd.

But what should someone be looking out for? Runny nose, coughing, and diarrhea those are the most dangerous ones right? What else? :apple-worm:

Pay attention to poop shapes. I know it sounds weird, but oval or oblong poop can indicate other GI problems which are sometimes contagious, sometimes not so much. Still, worth watching for.

Huh, didn't think of that. Thats a good idea, and that would be a good early warning indicator.

All those things . . . and anything else that strikes you as a little off.

Watch the rabbit's body language and posture. Sitting hunched up at the back of the cage? Showing little or no interest in your presence? Not eager for its feed? Fur dry-looking and rumpled rather than sleek? (Unless clearly in a moult.) Eyes dull? Ears unresponsive to sounds? Listless?

Any of these and anything else you observe that isn't quite right can be signs of trouble. Or not. But they tell you to keep a very close eye on the rabbit and to extend the quarantine time if necessary, just to make sure.
