Its my mini rexes 32nd and still no babies. Should I be concerned? Whats up with her? They buck fell off 3 times! And she has already had 2 littler's. The first litter she had 2 and only 1 lived and the second litter she had 6 and only 5 lived. She has mad a nest but just has not pulled fur so I am assuming she will do that before she kindles. She lays down a lot more than usual and I have seen what looks like kits kicking and moving and and she has stopped eating a lot less these past couple days. I palpated her and felt some little jelly sized marbles so assuming she pregnant plus we have all these other symptoms so I am pretty sure she's pregnant but It may be a false pregnancy. Or a kit could be stuck or, she could have reabsorbed them. Their are some many possibilities! Could someone please give their opinion?

-- Fri Apr 17, 2015 5:06 pm --

Sorry guys I did not mean to put two of the same posts up!

I think the lack of interest in her food is a good indicator. And sometimes they pull fur early but sometimes--as with my doe that kindled yesterday--they don't pull fur until just before kindling. And hard as it is to wait and wonder, sometimes they go later than day 32 and all is still well.
Hope you have kits soon.

Estherbunny, the gestation period for rabbits is 28 to 35 days with 31 being the average. We have members that have gone 40 or more with differing results...if you go that long results are usually not good...but 32 is not overdue...just a little late..give her a tums and some privacy, you'll probably have babies very soon.

If you want your question to be seen by more members it is best to post a separate question thread.. :D

My Mini rex just kindled and she had 3 healthy babies! One appears to be a peanut so he will probably die soon. So excited!

Well I've got one JW nesting now. let's see what time she delivers. I really like the hour of the day theory, but those that kindle in the middle of the night don't quite fit in it.

Congrats Esterbunny:). Keep things calm and give her a little space, there could be more coming:)
