If they it eat it, it's not really a problem. And it's doomed then. Mine killed off all ivy, they leave really poisonious plants alone. That is, if they have enough to chose from.

I'd say it's a raspberry or relative of one- thickly spiked stems, white underneath leaves, leaves are perhaps very slightly rounder than I usually see in my area but there are multiple varieties.
