I'm curious as to what everyone breeds.[album]3100[/album][album]3099[/album][album]3097[/album][album]3093[/album]
I breed Holland Lops and American Chinchillas (We are planning to buy a Holland Doe)

I'd "snatch" them in a heart beat, Dood.....LOL. Too bad you're not closer.

NZW's and Californians......plus a new breed added this year. I just
realized....I don't have a single pic of my Cals. Gonna have to fix that.

This is my "Sweet-16" litter. 16 born and mama kept them alive for 48 hours.
I then culled the two smallest and she kept the 14 alive. One got out on
the wire and chilled=13 left. And one just flat disappeared!=12 left.
Unfortunately, this doe was a "flash-in-the-pan" and never came close to
my expectations. She ended up taking a trip on the "Snake-Train".
As did the two of her daughter's I saved back. DUDS!! I had High-Hopes
for this group. Oh well, such is life.

My new additions...REALLY like these. Pedigreed American Chinchillas.
I searched for two years before I finally found some "relatively" close.
440 mile round-trip.....It that's close.

I'm going to start phasing out the Californians and just buy a pair of Cal
bucks every few years. They're a great cross for market fryers, but the
Cal does fall short on litter numbers. I can use the cage space for better
production with the NZW does and chin crosses.

I raise Creme d'Argent and New Zealand Red, with a current litter that is a cross of the two.

With the occasional litter of pet quality velveteen lops:

I'm trying out my NZ cross with a MR--it'll be fun to see what comes out (baby rabbits, I know!). Whether they're sold as pets or eaten as dinner, I can't wait to post pictures of our first popples around January 22!!

The one furthest left is what my rabbits look like except for the albino babies I had and My lop lol he don't look like that obviously

__________ Wed Jan 21, 2015 10:03 am __________

Omg. I haven't looked at this thread since I was last on a few months ago so many cuties. Let's get more :D

I breed standard rexes for meat, fur, and 4H
Also NZW for meat (and have an NZX buck to add a little excitement color wise)

...and I got suckered into the big eyes and tiny size of the Polish, so now I have a trio of those as well. So far they are my favorite. My biggest doe is 2.5 pounds and SO CUTE, omg. Ridiculous!

All of that said --- I have all these breeding trios (and more) and so far no babies. But I just got started within the past few months.
