My new buck has a snotty nose. I found it five minutes ago.
I can't do anything about it till Sunday though so he's been moved even farther away from Whipples doe into another room. They were in the same room not close but I'm not taking any chances with this at all.
I've messaged the breeder and let her know what I found.

Oh no!

I'm so sorry. :(

Are you hoping to get a replacement buck from the breeder?

Since its a six hour round trip it's going to be a little problematic but I'm sure this will be resolved somehow.

Now here's something weird. I changed out the bucks bedding to paper pellets-no dust. I stressed this guy out because he does NOT like to be handled, he was breathing very hard and he had no raspyness and no snot.

It's opaque but no real colour I can see.
I changed his bedding to paper pellets and I've had no sneezing, no snot, no crusty paws. Well, I had no crusty paws before but still no crustys is a good thing. I stressed this guy out last night, he does NOT like being handled and I've got clear breathing, no raspyness or snot at all

That sounds promising... but keep watching him. I have lost count now of the rabbits I have processed for snot, and none of them were raspy or had crusty paws, yet quite a few showed lung damage so it had progressed past the sinuses only.
