I have become the "Crazy Rabbit Lady", and you know how I know this? Easy, I woke up and found that someone had dumped an unwanted rabbit in my yard. Maybe thinking, "Hmmmm, she has lots of rabbits, what's one more?" or "Hey look, maybe she won't notice another one....." Grrrrrrrrr!
Not cool people! I patched up all the holes in the fence last week when I got the chickens so I am 99% sure that it did not make it in without the aid of a human. He was hanging out under my rabbits hutches, I approached very quietly and nicely, he would not let me catch him. He was not acting crazed about it though. So I said, "Forget it, I have not even had my coffee yet! Eva will help." Let the dog back outside (she spotted him in the first place) she got him into a corner for me and I scooped him up. He is not really skinny and seems at ease with humans, so I am thinking discarded pet. Put him in an empty hutch on the other side of the yard.
Now what to do with the little renegade trespasser? I do not need another rabbit! Especially a buck, and a mini rex at that.....I have Californians!!!!!!! Maybe he would make cute babies with my Dutch? No, must not think it......so now I feel responsible to find him a home. Hopefully he will be a great treat for someone.
Here is the renegade.
