I have become the "Crazy Rabbit Lady", and you know how I know this? Easy, I woke up and found that someone had dumped an unwanted rabbit in my yard. Maybe thinking, "Hmmmm, she has lots of rabbits, what's one more?" or "Hey look, maybe she won't notice another one....." Grrrrrrrrr!

Not cool people! I patched up all the holes in the fence last week when I got the chickens so I am 99% sure that it did not make it in without the aid of a human. He was hanging out under my rabbits hutches, I approached very quietly and nicely, he would not let me catch him. He was not acting crazed about it though. So I said, "Forget it, I have not even had my coffee yet! Eva will help." Let the dog back outside (she spotted him in the first place) she got him into a corner for me and I scooped him up. He is not really skinny and seems at ease with humans, so I am thinking discarded pet. Put him in an empty hutch on the other side of the yard.

Now what to do with the little renegade trespasser? I do not need another rabbit! Especially a buck, and a mini rex at that.....I have Californians!!!!!!! Maybe he would make cute babies with my Dutch? No, must not think it......so now I feel responsible to find him a home. Hopefully he will be a great treat for someone.

Here is the renegade.

It must be that sign you have hanging over your house that says "all unwanted rabbits welcome!" LOL! :)

The "You Know You Don't Want to Do This" talk please......I am at capacity right now. I have calls out to two families whom I trust to take it in as a pet and take care of it. There is also a rabbit rescue a few towns over, but they are not open today.

__________ Sun Apr 10, 2011 9:21 am __________

[/quote]

What she said! LOL He's handsome. I know what you mean though about being at capacity. I had to steel my reserve at the swap meet yesterday. Little 5-pounder meat mutt with INCREDIBLE type, head and ears...but broken agouti. Wish he was red!

He does look delicious!
I am sure that somebody will have a Plate for Him.
Um, I mean Place?
Ottersatin. :eek:ldtimer:

Heres the "You Know You Don't Want to Do This" talk.

He may be pretty but he will just eat a lot of food. He will make it so you don't have any empty cages. Get rid of him. :D

Yea you better get that sign down, or you could put a sign up saying, this is not a rabbit dump, please take your rabbit elsewhere.

Oh, he's adorable. Those markings make it look like he's wearing a suit and tie!

Oh he's WONderful! Just look at that little face..the quivering lower lip...he's got the look of the tough kid who is really just wanting someone to love him...oooOOOOoooo :( Poor baby....

er. um. We're supposed to be telling you you DON'T want him, aren't we...shucks. Guess I failed there.

Better change that sign to "Stray Bunny Very Yummy!"
That'll stop em...

He needs some TLC but not half bad type poor dude. But being a booted he is unshowable and for the most part will produce more booteds, there, hope that helps in the don't want him dept.!

He is cute and tame. Craig's list him for $10. Buy half a bag of feed and welcome all who want to make you money.

Update: The little renegade found a home with a nice family two houses down from me. He will get plenty of love and I can keep tabs on how he does. Happy ending :)

__________ Tue Apr 12, 2011 5:11 pm __________

Update: The little renegade found a home with a nice family two houses down from me.
