We did it!!

This morning DH and I processed our first 6 buns. It went really well, with a few mistakes but not terrible ones. We held them by the hind legs and then whacked them on the back of the head. Only 2 bled out like the video by Bowbuild, but I think that will get better as we get more experience. I did the skinning and gutting, and only nicked one bladder, and next time we are planning on witholding food for 24 hours or so as I noticed several of them pooed during the process.
There are six in the freezer now, and we got about 15 pounds of meat total.

Surprisingly, it isn't quite as bad as you think it will be.

Next time, after you kill them but before you hang them, use your thumbs to express the bladder- just push on the lower groin and it will empty.
