This morning DH and I processed our first 6 buns. It went really well, with a few mistakes but not terrible ones. We held them by the hind legs and then whacked them on the back of the head. Only 2 bled out like the video by Bowbuild, but I think that will get better as we get more experience. I did the skinning and gutting, and only nicked one bladder, and next time we are planning on witholding food for 24 hours or so as I noticed several of them pooed during the process.
There are six in the freezer now, and we got about 15 pounds of meat total.
