I've read and re-read this thread a million times over the years and have always planned on my own system when the time was right. I noticed that you elevate your tanks Grumpy and I see Cathy left theirs on the ground. Curious about the strain on the pump when forced to elevate the water. Wonder if that would make the pump wear quickly or if a person may need to get a larger pump if that's what you do. I probably wouldn't have that worry if I hadn't put my washing machine on a greywater watering system (laundry water exits my home and waters my landscaping) where I had to be careful with the length of my watering system and the grade of the pipe as not to put too much strain on the washer's pump. Because I don't care to replace my $$$ washer anytime soon!
