About, oh, a month or so ago, my two does in what was going to be my future colony decided to leave. I've figured out where the hole is and patched it but I didn't catch the does up until a couple of days ago, first one then the other. Problem is, when the second one came home, she brought a wild friend. My two does are caged up now until spring arrives, but the wild rabbit is hanging around the barn.

First off, should I dispatch their little buddy? Will he get my other rabbits sick? He's sorta cute. I've been calling him Brick.

Secondly, what are the chances of my two does being pregnant if this wild rabbit is a buck? They're about 5 months old and ripe as a melon.

He looks like a wild rabbit to me. Small, brown. He could be feral, but we're so far out in the country I don't know where he would have come from if he wasn't wild.

He's not tame, either. I thought about trying to catch him, but decided not to.

Our domestic rabbits are all descended from European Rabbits, and cannot reproduce successfully with cottontails or hares.
