Just thought I'd let all know about the South Jersey Rabbit Show, on September 15th in Mullica Hill, NJ. New Jersey doesn't get too many shows here down south, so I'm really looking forward to attending.

The Secretary of the Show was very nice to e-mail me to let me know. Couldn't get there last year, but truly looking forward to the experience this year. I'm not going to show any of my rabbits, but looking forward to meeting folks and really learning what showing is all about.

Have a good time!

I would encourage you to enter a couple of rabbits even if you know they have faults or DQ's. The judges will still give you insight into the good and bad traits that your rabbits posses... and for a $3 entry fee, I see that as a bargain!

Good suggestions MamaSheepDog, but I really need to go alone and experience my first show. Bringing a bunny would be a good idea but then I would be missing out on the whole experience. Just need to see a show first, then go from there.

Hope you enjoy it! I cant even bring one to show...lol. 3 legged murphy and ball-less sebi!! Hoping you enjoy it!

Remember to make your shopping list and carry it with you.

Nope, no shopping for me. Just going to be a "Lookie Lou". Hope to meet some people and admire the rabbits.

I'm talking about equipment, not rabbits. Believe me, the first time you pay the ridiculous rates we're being charged for shipping these days, you'll wish you had bought it at a show while it was right there in front of you.

My last catalog cage order had $90 shipping costs added to it. Oh, how I wished I had ordered sooner and had a friend pick them up for me when he was at the equipment dealer's shop.

Thanks for tip. So right about fuel going through the roof. Costs are just going to keep going up and up and up.

I would take your rabbit! Rabbit shows are a lot of standing around and waiting! Your showing only takes 10 minutes for your breed and the rest of the time is hours of waiting to show them. Go there and talk to other breeders they will help you. Rabbit shows are easy! They know exactly which rabbits are entered and tell you exactly where to put your rabbit on the table. And you will get some comments about little Neville's quality.

Getting excited. Next Saturday is the day. Hope to see some of the breeders there that I know from the local area. I'm sure it will be fun. Looking forward to having a very pleasant, informative day. And heck never know maybe even a new bun, a flemish doe? My husband already has conceded the fact that this could be a possibility, lol.

Never fails when I make plans. Thought it would pass this morning (upset stomach) but still feel yucky. Don't want to pass this feeling to others.

Well, just have to do a road trip. Lots of PA shows.

Wishing everyone a lovely time at the Show. Beautiful weather we are having today here in South Jersey. Nice and cool. Good for the bunnies and people.
