Hello! I’m Maple! A pleasure to meet you all, and make your acquaintance! I’m located in Maryland: up and to the right of Baltimore (Edgewood).

I first discovered this website when just starting out as a noob bunny breeder-

Those were harsh learning times, but they had to be done. 😬

But now, I’m more educated than I have ever been on the subject of rabbits (which doesn’t say much)!

Right now I want to take on the task of learning about genetics. I’m also looking for a D’Argent btw so hmu

Happy to meet you all!

Here’s a picture from my own colony!

(Pardon the darkness, it’s 9pm)

Hi Maple!
Looks like your rabbits enjoy their space.

KT here from Montana. I have NZ , a few rex and a couple of satins. My interest in genotypes is based on CC's colours. From daddy to daughters...

Wow!! Those are some absolute beauties!
Thank you! Now consistently would be a win. I bred CC to Oreo a broken black. We will see what happens in the next breeding. All my interesting colours are not showable outside of the meat pen.The weights are looking good , but maybe at a slower rate for some. So many helpful people here!

Are you able to teach a newbie about genetics? Or give me pointers/advice/resources?

I learned a lot from quite a few people here. @Alaska Satin @judymac @Preitler and others.. They offered advice, shared links. I read anything and everything in the backlogs here. I went to other sites, watched the free classes on YouTube. I feel like I barely know anything . :)

You are welcome! Have fun with it - then come back here to ask others questions, or discuss what you are learning, what's really fascinating...I have read the articles, and reread...and reread...lol... takes a minute to soak in. I feel the basics are fairly graspable, but... then there are game changers......
