There's nothing like doing drift donuts in a snow field at 30+ mph and jumping snow piles. :doc: :wheelcha:

The weather is rarely severe enough here for us to be stuck indoors for very long. But when we are, or the power is out, we play cards, dice, or board games. We are also all bookworms, except Hubs who enjoys reading but doesn't always have a book that he is reading like the rest of us do. Jigsaw puzzles are also a lot of fun, and something that is best done within a day or two so the cats don't lose the pieces for us.

Though it isn't "fun", deep cleaning the house is another boredom buster.

Akane- I remember that ice storm. It made the news here. I hope that doesn't happen again. That was somethin'!
Bob Brrrrrrr that sounds cold! But I'll bet its kind of fun too!
Sky Wow. Twice??? LOL We've already had school delays. There will be kids going home early tomorrow and closings Wednesday, all for a couple of inches of snow. LOL

Schools close every so ofter. Up until a year or so ago, we only had 5 snow days allotted in Ohio, and we took that seriously. The Governor was petitioned, and allotted a few more. But the State and the city are constantly plowing, they go up my street at least 3 times a day, once you get off the neighborhood streets, it's good, and the highway is clear. It's -7 now, and finally things are closed. So now 3 times. This is probably a record. But Walmart is still open.

I don't think they ever close anything here, if you can get out to school then the kids go-- if not they don't-- once in a while the school busses don't run, or run late if it is a "white-out" I have a 2 wheel drive truck, -- so I just chain it up at night when I get home , so I can get out of my driveway in the morning, usually by the time I get to the highway I can take the chains off. This year has been wierd, -- it was below 0 for almost 2 weeks in Nov. then it warmed back up, it has been in the teens or 20's at night and 50's durring the day for weeks now, and-- no snow at all since Nov. The snow is all melted off now except in the shade. We heat with wood so heat is not too expensive-
The rabbits are sure looking good, and they love this mild weather- [and they don't eat so much when it is nice like this]
If had a crystal ball, --I would have bred one more time-- they would have been ready to ween in another week or 2
but- my market is closed for the winter, and I have a lot in the freezer, and bottled about 100 qts this year, -- so I guess I am "good" I guess I just love to see those cages full of bunnies--

Oh my gosh! Atlanta is in a State of Emergency. People stuck everywhere, even kids stayed and were stuck in schools all night!!! Well that's the second time I've seen that happen. The first time was like in 1985 or so. Wow! What a mess. Poor people! Many were stuck in their cars all night on the expressway.
