There is an adorable Snowshoe hanging around our property. This morning my oldest went outside to get firewood, he saw it going about it's buisness and rubbing it's cheeks on one of our summer rabbit coops. We've been seeing tons of tracks in the snow about our farm. I think the little beauti is attracted to my bunny poo pile.
I'm sure the smells, spilt grain on the farm from feeding our outside animals, and occasional pressed alfafa blocks in the pile are making him happy. We have a shallow gully that runs the length of our propert and i think it's taken up residence.

Once the Hare relised a tall young man with an arm full of wood was behind it, it stood up on it's hind legs and with an "oh snap" look on it's face, stood motionless. My oldest said hi to it, then the Hare dashed off into our grove of blue spruce. It's pure white with adorable black tips on it's ears.

It looks like this:

I didn't know I had rabbits here until it snowed and then saw tracks all the way around the house. LOL I never see the sneaky lil things.
The Hare is beautiful! He know you love rabbits. :)

We threw slices of horse hay outside the tackroom door for the cottontails during bad snowstorms when there was little to eat above the snow. There was always tons of tracks and bunny poo in the area the next day.

JD, my dad has me bring him hay and feed for the wild rabbit that likes to sit in bushes under his bedroom window. It is kind of an extension of 'feeding the birds'.

I wish that was a show breed and didn't molt off the coat in the warmer months LOL

They are so beautiful. I've only noticed 1 cotton tail venture to our backyard, but that is the only one I've ever seen.

:)
