I have the same question Michaels...I read through the threads on Ivermectin and got pretty confused. I am trying pumpkin seeds but my buck wont eat them.I just dried them from fresh. Not even sure he has worms or is he is just a big skinny buck? His belly looks big but is soft not bloated. Is eating the same as always,Just not as heavy as he should be at his age.Being a meat buck I don't want to use chemicals. I have gone back to boss and oatmeal. guess i'll just wait and see...He has a 16 week old son who is only a pound lighter than he is so I may have to replace him.

Ivermectin and Corid, are both cheep insurance, although Garlic tops, or Garlic chives will kill Coccidiosis, Corid is cheep and easy.-IMHO- I feel that a parasite protocol is a must for all livestock . Ivermectin will not kill tapes and some other worms, so something that kills tapes should be used every other time to get what is left .If you feed weeds or plants with dirt on them, especially if you have had a lot of livestock in the area or used animal manure for fertilizer . { I use Garlic tops and garlic Chives, and wormwood] and once / year I use Corid, ---and ivermectin SQ starting a week or so after warble " Botflys" are seen ,on all non-pregnant breed stock.[on large breed meat rabbits 0.25 ml is plenty]

My buck is now eating! Kinda strange story....we thought he might be missing his buddy in the next cage,we had put in hay racks and they couldn't really see each other .....so we put one of our grow out bucks in his cage for company.....Well, turns out he was lonely, but not for his buddy.... that poor grow out was mounted every witch way :x
We got him out of there quick, I don't think he was to traumatized. :) But today Raider is eating and drinking and demanding to be petted again.
I know my girls and guys want to breed but the weather here is just too hot.So maybe he just needed to work out a bit?
